Gervais is a city in Marion County, Oregon, Marion County, Oregon, United States. The population was 2,464 at the 2010 United States Census, 2010 census. It is part of the Salem Metropolitan Statistical Area. History The city is named for settler, pioneer Joseph Gervais who was one of the first settlers on French Prairie. On October 6, 1902, the business district of the city burned and losses were estimated at $100,000. Marion County is one of the 36 counties in the U.S. state of Oregon. The population was 345,920 at the 2020 census, making it the fifth-most populous county in Oregon.
