George Ormsby (politician)
George Ormsby (November 24, 1916 – May 20, 2013) was an American plumber and political candidate from Pennsylvania. In 1988 and 1992, Ormsby was the vice-presidential nominee of the Prohibition Party. The Prohibition Party (PRO) is a political party in the United States known for its historic opposition to the sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages and as an integral part of the temperance movement. It is the oldest existing third party in the United States and the third-longest active party. Although it was never one of the leading parties in the United States, it was once an important force in the Third Party System during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Village Green-Green Ridge is a census-designated place (CDP) in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 7,822 at the 2010 census, down from 8,279 at the 2000 census. Geography Village Green-Green Ridge is located in southern Delaware County at (39.864011, -75.424499), in the southern part of Aston Township.
