Gehwara-e-Adab () 'Nursery of Literature''is an International Literary Organization that was formed to support and promote the Urdu Language and its rich literature in the world. Currently it is working in Pakistan, the United States, and Canada. Gehwara-e-Adab was founded in Karachi on 1989 by a group of students from University of Karachi, with the aim to highlight the feature and importance of Urdu. Team Gehwara-e-Adab is committed to promote Urdu literature and poetry to enhance Urdu culture. It has continuously conducted several programs include Urdu Debate Competition, Urdu Speech Competition, Urdu essay competition and Urdu Mushairah (Poetry recitation). Publication Gehwara-e-Adab frequently publishes many magazines, books and booklets on different occasions. It also publishes some magazines with collaboration with difference student's societies. Sheikh (pronounced or ; ar, شيخ ' , mostly pronounced , plural ' )—also transliterated sheekh, sheyikh, shaykh, shayk, shekh, shaik and Shaikh, shak—is an honorific title in the Arabic language. Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui ( ur, پیرزادہ قاسم رضا صدیقی) (born 8 February 1943) is a Pakistani scholar, poet, scientist and educationist. He is serving as vice chancellor of Ziauddin University. Early life and career Pirzada was born on 8 February 1943 to an Urdu-speaking family in Delhi, India. After the Partition of India in 1947, he continued his studies in Pakistan and received his college degrees from D J Science College in Karachi and BSc (H) from University of Karachi. He earned his PhD degree at Newcastle University, England. Pirzada Qasim started his career as a lecturer at the University of Karachi and became a professor. Jazib Qureshi
Jazib Qureshi ( ur, ) (born 3 August 1940) is an Urdu poet, writer and critic from Pakistan. He has written many poetry books and works of criticism. Biography Background Qureshi was born on 3 August 1940 in Luchnow, India, where he spent his childhood. When he was six, his father died. As a result, he could not study further and worked hard for his living. He migrated with his family to Lahore, Pakistan, in 1950. He gained work in the press. He recommenced his studies and began writing poetry, attending literary gatherings and reading his poetry. His first literary gathering was in the Shahi Qila, chaired by poet Ehsan Danish. Ishratul Ibad Khan ( ur, , born 2 March 1963) is a politician who served as the 30th Governor of Sindh, Pakistan. lbad is a Pakistan-born citizen He took up the post of Governor of Sindh, Pakistan on 27 December 2002, becoming the youngest governor to hold the office.
