Gefle Idrottsförening, also known simply as Gefle IF, Gefle (, as if spelled ''Gävle''), or locally Gif (), are a Swedish professional football club based in Gävle. The club is affiliated with Gestriklands Fotbollförbund and play their home games at Gavlevallen since the 2015 season. The club colours are blue and white. Formed on 5 December 1882 as Gefle SK, the club have played fifteen seasons in Sweden's highest football league Allsvenskan, with the first season being 1933–34. The club is currently playing in Division 1, the third tier of Swedish football. Gavlevallen
Gavlevallen is an association football stadium in Gävle, Sweden. The project was initiated by Allsvenskan side Gefle IF and Gävle Municipality to build a new 6,500 capacity stadium in the Sätraåsen area of Gävle, Sweden. History A new stadium in Gävle had been discussed for four years prior to the announcement that Gefle IF and Gävle Municipality had agreed. The main reason for building a new stadium is the new stadium criteria by the Swedish Football Association which went into effect in 2014. The new stadium will replace Strömvallen. The stadium was given its name on 30 November 2014 after a public vote initiated by Gävle Municipality had taken place. Gävle Municipality
Gävle Municipality (''Gävle kommun'') is a municipality in east central Sweden. The municipal seat is located in the Stad (city) of Gävle. Geographically the municipality is situated north of the mouth of the river Dalälven and is the southernmost municipality of the historical land of Norrland. The present municipality was created in 1971, when the ''City of Gävle'' was amalgamated with four surrounding rural municipalities. All of them were original entities, instituted as municipalities by the local government acts of 1862. The area had not been affected by the national subdivision reform in 1952. The 2015 Allsvenskan, part of the 2015 Swedish football season was the 91st season of Allsvenskan since its establishment in 1924. The 2015 fixtures were released on 21 January 2015. The season started on 4 April 2015, when BK Häcken visited newly promoted Hammarby IF at Tele2 Arena and ended on 31 October 2015. Malmö FF were the defending champions from the 2014 season. Kenneth Rosén
Kenneth Rosén (16 September 1951 – 27 December 2004) was a Swedish football goalkeeper and later manager. He was born in Sundsvall and started his playing career in Skellefteå. He also played for Örebro SK. He started his manager career in 1977 in Laxå IF. He then managed seven Swedish clubs as well as Faroese B68 Toftir before moving to Norway. After two season each in Raufoss and Skjetten he was hired as Bryne's manager ahead of the 1997 season. He guided the team to the 2000 Eliteserien.
