Gary O'Donnell (Gaelic Footballer)
Gary O'Donnell (born 6 January 1988) is an Irish sportsperson, who plays inter-county Gaelic football for Galway. He is a first cousin of double All-Ireland-winning former Galway footballer and two-time All Star Jarlath Fallon. O'Donnell's parents are both from County Mayo and he has uncles who have played football for that county at a number of levels. O'Donnell, who first played football with St Colman's, Gort, also played hurling in his youth and was on the same under-age teams as later Galway senior inter-county players Aidan Harte and Greg Lally. Gort's football team disbanded in 2009 and O'Donnell moved to Tuam Stars, as it was the club his cousins, the Fallons, played for. Having been an unused substitute in Galway's 2008 Connacht final victory over Mayo, O'Donnell made his inter-county debut with in 2009. Damien Comer
Damien Comer (born 11 January 1994) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Annaghdown and at senior level for the Galway county team. Early life and playing career Comer is a former pupil of St Jarlath's College in Tuam, and also a graduate of NUI Galway, with whom he reached the 2018 Sigerson Cup final. Comer did not play for Galway at minor level. He was a member of the Galway team that won the Under-21 Championship in 2013. He made his senior Championship debut in 2014, when he came on as a substitute against London in the Connacht Championship. Comer was part of the Galway team that won the 2016 Connacht Championship. He started all of the team's games as the county won its first Connacht title since 2008. Pádraic Joyce (born 1 April 1977) is a Gaelic football manager and former player who played as a forward. He has been manager of the senior Galway county team since 2019. Joyce won the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship twice with Galway as a player and received three All Star Awards. He won four Galway Senior Football Championships while playing for the Killererin club. He also captained Ireland in the International Rules Series. 2016 Connacht Senior Football Championship
The 2016 Connacht Senior Football Championship will be the 117th installment of the annual Connacht Senior Football Championship held under the auspices of Connacht GAA. It is one of the four provincial competitions of the 2016 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. Mayo entered the competition as defending champions but were beaten by Galway in the semi-finals. Galway went on to win their first title in eight years by beating Roscommon after a replay. Paul Conroy (Gaelic Footballer)
Paul Conroy (born 22 May 1989) is an Irish Gaelic footballer and teacher who plays at senior level for the Galway county team. Conroy was captain of the All-Ireland winning Minor team in 2007 when they narrowly defeated Derry. Conroy made his Senior championship debut against Roscommon and scored finished the game with a tally of 0–6. Conroy won an Galway Intermediate Club Championship with St James' in 2010 and followed that up with a Connacht title. He played twice for Ireland against Australia in the 2013 International Rules Series. Conroy was named as Galway captain for the 2014 season. He is an Irish and business teacher at Coláiste Bhaile Chláir in Claregalway. His fellow teammate Damien Comer also teaches in the school. Kevin Walsh (Gaelic Footballer)
Kevin Walsh (born 5 November 1969 in Galway) is an Irish Gaelic football coach, manager and former player. He won three All Stars and two All-Ireland Senior Football Championships while playing at senior level for the Galway county team. Walsh served as manager of the senior Sligo county team from 2008 to 2013 and his native Galway from 2014 to 2019. Playing career An effective midfielder, Walsh played at club level with Killannin, winning intermediate county titles in 1991 and 2014 against near neighbours Moycullen at 45 years of age and at inter-county level with Galway.
