Garnet Lee
Garnet Morley Lee (7 June 1887 – 29 February 1976) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Nottinghamshire between 1910 and 1922 and for Derbyshire between 1925 and 1933. He scored nearly 15,000 runs in his first-class career. Lee was born at Calverton, Nottinghamshire. He joined the Nottinghamshire staff in 1905. and started playing for Nottinghamshire second XI in 1909. Towards the end of the 1910 season, he progressed to the county team making his debut in July against Sussex when he scored a duck and did not bowl. He played four first-class games in 1910. He played for the full season in 1911 without any spectacular performances, but in 1912 started to find batting form. In 1913 he scored 180 against Sussex and 200 not out in five hours against Leicestershire making this the only year he scored more than 1000 runs for Nottinghamshire. Calverton, Nottinghamshire
Calverton () is a village and civil parish in Nottinghamshire, of some , in the Gedling district, about 7 miles north-east of Nottingham, and 10 miles south-east of Mansfield. England, and situated, like nearby Woodborough and Lambley, on one of the small tributaries of the Dover Beck. The 2011 census found 7,076 inhabitants in 2,987 households. About two miles to the north of the village is the site of the supposed deserted settlement of Salterford. Derbyshire County Cricket Club in 1931 represents the cricket season when the English club Derbyshire had been playing for sixty years. It was their thirty-third season in the County Championship and they won seven matches to finish seventh. 1931 season Derbyshire were fortunate in persuading A. W. Richardson to become captain in 1931. Building on the efforts of Guy Jackson and with the help of the coach, Sam Cadman, Richardson set about building the team that became a match-winning combination and took the championship in 1936. Derbyshire played 28 games in the County Championship, and one match against the touring New Zealanders. Denis Smith was top scorer with two centuries. Veteran Archibald Slater, in his last season, took 106 wickets closely followed by Tommy Mitchell on 105. Hampshire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Hampshire. Hampshire teams formed by earlier organisations, principally the Hambledon Club, always had first-class status and the same applied to the county club when it was founded in 1863. Because of poor performances for several seasons until 1885, Hampshire then lost its status for nine seasons until it was invited into the County Championship in 1895, since when the team have played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England. Oxford University Cricket Club (OUCC), which represents the University of Oxford, has always held first-class status since 1827 when it made its debut in the inaugural University Match between OUCC and Cambridge University Cricket Club (CUCC). Jonathan Luke Clare (born 14 June 1986) is an English cricketer who formerly played for Derbyshire. An all-rounder, he is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. Early life Clare was born in Burnley, Lancashire. He attended St Theodore's RC High School in the town. Glamorgan County Cricket Club ( cy, Criced Morgannwg) is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Glamorgan ( cy, Morgannwg).
