Garlon Green
Garlon Green (born January 11, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for Fos Provence Basket of the LNB Pro A. After completing his collegiate eligibility, Green started his professional career with Australian second division team Canberra Gunners, before signing for the Japanese team Kumamoto Volters. In 2015 Garlon signed a contract for the 2015–16 season with the Walter Tigers Tübingen of the German Basketball Bundesliga. He is the younger brother of NBA player Gerald Green. Green participated in the BBL All-Star Game in 2016 and was the winner of the slam dunk contest. CSM Oradea, also known as simply Oradea, is a Romania professional basketball club, based in Oradea, Romania. The club competes in the Liga Națională, the highest level of basketball in Romania. History CSM Oradea was founded in 2003, but the team promoted to the first division in 2005. Fos Provence Basket, also known as Fos-sur-mer, is a professional basketball team based in Fos-sur-mer, France. The team currently plays in the first tier LNB Pro A, after its promotion in the 2020–21 season. Home games are played in the Complexe sportif Parsemain, which has a capacity of 2,000 people. History The club was founded on 13 January 1972 as Frat Fosséenne by its founders Paul Bruyère and Jean Lovato. On 18 January 2020, Fos received Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball at the Palais des Sports in Marseille and set its attendance record with 3,384 spectators. On 15 June 2018, Fos Provence promoted to the first-tier LNB Pro A for the first time in history, after defeating Roanne in the finals of the promotion play-offs. National Basketball League (Japan)
The National Basketball League (NBL) was a professional basketball league in Japan run by the Japan Basketball Association (JBA). The first NBL season started in Autumn 2013, replacing the JBA's previous top-flight league, the Japan Basketball League. Below the NBL was the National Basketball Development League (NBDL), which was the successor to the former JBL 2 division. The NBL and its predecessor existed alongside the bj league, an independent league based on the American sports franchise model that had been active since 2005. The JBA was suspended by FIBA in November 2014 for failing to address the fragmentation of the sport into competing leagues. In basketball, a rebound, sometimes colloquially referred to as a board, is a statistic awarded to a player who retrieves the ball after a missed field goal or free throw. Rebounds in basketball are a routine part in the game; if a shot is successfully made possession of the ball will change, otherwise the rebound allows the defensive team to take possession. Rebounds are also given to a player who tips in a missed shot on his team's offensive end. A rebound can be grabbed by either an offensive player or a defensive player. The South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL) was an Australian semi-professional basketball league. The league comprised both a men's and women's competition and was run by the country's governing body, Basketball Australia. The league was one and the same with the Australian Basketball Association (ABA) from its inception in 1981 until 1993. The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. The league started with eight teams until NBA commissioner David Stern announced a plan to expand the NBA D-League to 15 teams and develop it into a true minor league farm system, with each NBA D-League team affiliated with one or more NBA teams in March 2005. The Texas Legends are an American professional basketball team in the NBA G League based in Frisco, Texas, and are affiliated with the Dallas Mavericks. A slam dunk, also simply known as dunk, is a type of basketball shot that is performed when a player jumps in the air, controls the ball above the horizontal plane of the rim, and scores by shoving the ball directly through the basket with one or both hands. Merriam-Webster refers the ter"slam dunk"to the ter"dunk shot" which is defined as "a shot in basketball made by jumping high into the air and throwing the ball down through the basket". M-W dates "slam dunk" at 1972, and "dunk shot" as "circa 1961". It is a type of field goal that is worth two points. Gerald Green (born January 26, 1986) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA G League. He was drafted by the Boston Celtics with the 18th overall pick in the 2005 NBA draft. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage.
