Gandaf
Gandaf is a town and Union Council of Swabi District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is located at 34°7'0N 72°41'0E with an altitude of 538 metres (1768 feet). Gandaf is surrounded by a mountain range, and is very close to the Gadoon Amazi industrial estate. Gandaf is the capital village of Area Gadoon where only the Pashtun tribe 'Gadoon' resides. The Indus River is also attached to this village. Due to the lack of colleges and universities, many Gadoon went to Swabi or to other places. Gandaf is a dry area and it only depends on rains. The Districts of Pakistan ( ur, ); are the third-order administrative divisions of Pakistan, below provinces and divisions, but forming the first-tier of local government. In total, there are 169 districts in Pakistan including the Capital Territory and the districts of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. Swabi District
Swabi District ( ps, سوابۍ ولسوالۍ, ur, ) is a district in the Mardan Division of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. It lies between the Indus and Kabul Rivers. Before becoming a district in 1988, it was a tehsil within the Mardan District. % of the population speaks Pashto as their first language. Demographics At the time of the 2017 census the district had a population of 1,625,477, of which 815,828 were males and 809,550 females. Rural population was 1,349,513 (83.02%) while the urban population was 275,964 (16.98%). The literacy rate was 59.06% - the male literacy rate was 73.99% while the female literacy rate was 44.35%. 1,086 people in the district were from religious minorities.
