Galvin At Windows
Galvin at Windows is a restaurant located on the top floor of the London Hilton on Park Lane restaurant. Launched in May 2006 by Chef Patron Chris Galvin as the second restaurant from the Galvin Brothers, the restaurant was awarded its Michelin Star in 2007 and maintained it until 2020 when they lost the single star. As a Michelin-rated restaurant, it offered seasonally inspired modern French haute cuisine with regularly changing menus which took in a wide range on influences, not least Head Chef Joo Won's Korean heritage, while retaining its focus on classical French techniques. It also offers traditional Sunday lunches and hosts regular wine dinners and tastings which draw on global cuisines and bring experts in the field to the restaurant on a regular basis. Park Lane, London
Park Lane is a dual carriageway road in the City of Westminster in Central London. It is part of the London Inner Ring Road and runs from Hyde Park Corner in the south to Marble Arch in the north. It separates Hyde Park to the west from Mayfair to the east. The road has a number of historically important properties and hotels and has been one of the most sought after streets in London, despite being a major traffic thoroughfare. The London Hilton on Park Lane is a hotel situated on Park Lane, overlooking Hyde Park in the exclusive Mayfair district of London. History The hotel opened as the London Hilton on 17 April 1963. It is a concrete-framed building, designed by William B. Tabler, an American architect who designed numerous Hilton hotels. The building was the first skyscraper hotel to be built in London, containing more than 500 bedrooms and six restaurants. On 24 August 1967, the Beatles met Maharishi Mahesh Yogi at the Hilton and subsequently went to Uttar Pradesh with him in order to meditate. Fred Sirieix
Fred Sirieix (; born 27 January 1972) is a French maître d'hôtel best known for appearing on Channel 4's ''First Dates'', and BBC Two's '' Million Pound Menu''. Sirieix grew up in Limoges, France and trained to work in front of house in a Michelin-starred restaurant in France before working at La Tante Claire in London. Until 2019 he was the general manager of Michelin-starred restaurant ''Galvin at Windows'' at the London Hilton. Sirieix is the founder of National Waiters Day, the training tool the Art of Service, and the Galvin Cup and Galvin's Chance charities. He helped to launch the Right Course, which teaches prisoners about the service industry, and has also released a book called ''First Dates: The Art of Love'' and a music track, "La Vie Continue".
