Gakuen Polizi
is a Japanese romance ''yuri'' manga series written and illustrated by Milk Morinaga and serialized in ''Comic High!'' by Futabasha. It's published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment. Plot Police officer Sasami Aoba is assigned to enter an all girls High School as an undercover cop to monitor for any suspicious activity, but when she arrives there she discovers that there is already another officer assigned to the school. Sakuraba Midori is her name, and the two of them are forced to become partners and watch over the school together. Yuri (genre)
, also known by the ''wasei-eigo'' construction , is a genre of Japanese media focusing on intimate relationships between female characters. While lesbianism is a commonly associated theme, the genre is also inclusive of works depicting emotional and spiritual relationships between women that are not necessarily romantic or sexual in nature. ''Yuri'' is most commonly associated with anime and manga, though the term has also been used to describe video games, light novels, and literature. Milk is a white liquid food produced by the mammary glands of mammals. is an editorial category of Japanese comics marketed toward young adult men. was a Japanese seinen manga magazine published on a monthly basis by Futabasha. It was launched as a special issue of ''Weekly Manga Action'' but became its own independent monthly anthology. The magazine was first published on 2 March 2004 as the industry's first shōjo manga magazine for males; the official website describes the magazine as "Girlish comics for boys and girls." The magazine is aimed at males between 18 and 35 years old. The final issue of the magazine was published in May 2015. Yuricon
Yuricon was an anime convention geared toward fans of yuri anime and manga. The first Yuricon event was held in 2003 in Newark, New Jersey with about 200 attending, although Yuricon has existed as an online entity since 2000. The event was organized by Yuricon, LLC., which continues to run Yuri-focused events of its own, collaborates with other organizations to hold unique events, and hosts contests.
