Comic High!
was a Japanese seinen manga magazine published on a monthly basis by Futabasha. It was launched as a special issue of ''Weekly Manga Action'' but became its own independent monthly anthology. The magazine was first published on 2 March 2004 as the industry's first shōjo manga magazine for males; the official website describes the magazine as "Girlish comics for boys and girls." The magazine is aimed at males between 18 and 35 years old. The final issue of the magazine was published in May 2015. Seinen Manga
is an editorial category of Japanese comics marketed toward young adult men. In Japanese, the word ''seinen'' literally means "youth", but the term "''seinen'' manga" is also used to describe the target audience of magazines like ''Weekly Manga Times'' and ''Weekly Manga Goraku'' which cater specifically to men's interests, and are marketed towards a demographic of young adult men between the ages of 18 and 40. ''Seinen'' manga are distinguished from ''shōnen'' manga which are for young teen boys, although some ''seinen'' manga like '' xxxHolic'' share similarities with ''shōnen'' manga. ''Seinen'' manga can focus on action, politics, science fiction, fantasy, relationships, sports, or comedy. The female equivalent to ''seinen'' manga is ''josei'' manga. High School Girls
is a Japanese manga series, created by Towa Oshima, which was originally serialized in Futabasha's ''Weekly Manga Action'' magazine from 2001, and then subsequently ''Comic High!'' from 2004. It was adapted in 2006 into an anime television series, entitled , which premiered in Japan on April 3, 2006, and completed its 12-episode run on June 19, 2006. It was produced by Genco, animated by Arms (company), ARMS, written by Hideki Shirane, and directed by Yoshitaka Fujimoto (director of the anime ''Cyber Team in Akihabara'' and ''All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku, Nuku Nuku TV''). Potemayo
is a Japanese Yonkoma, four-panel comic strip by Haruka Ogataya. The manga was first serialized in the four-panel manga magazine ''Moeyon'' in July 2004. In October 2005, the manga moved to the Japanese seinen manga magazine ''Comic High!'' and continued until January 2011. A 12-episode anime adaptation by J.C.Staff aired between July and September 2007 on Tokyo MX. Plot One morning Sunao Moriyama, a male junior high student, finds a small, cute creature in his refrigerator. During breakfast, Sunao looks down at what he is eating, a bun with potato and mayonnaise filling, and decided to name the creature Potemayo. Kodomo No Jikan
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kaworu Watashiya. The story revolves around a grade school teacher named Daisuke Aoki, whose main problem is that one of his students, Rin Kokonoe, has a crush on him. It was serialized between May 2005 and April 2013 in Futabasha's ''Comic High!'' magazine and is compiled in 13 volumes. At one time, an English-language version of the manga was licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment for distribution in North America under the title ''Nymphet'', but they ultimately decided not to publish it due to controversies over its content. It was then relicensed by Digital Manga, who released the series in English through e-book. A 12-episode anime adaptation of the series aired in Japan between October and December 2007.
