Gabriela Rivadeneira
Gabriela Alejandra Rivadeneira Burbano (born 25 July 1983) is an Ecuadorian politician. She was List of Presidents of the National Assembly of Ecuador, President of the National Assembly (Ecuador), National Assembly of Ecuador between May 2013 and May 2017. Previously she was Governor of Imbabura Province from 2011 to 2012. She was the executive secretary of the PAIS Alliance between 1 May 2017 and 2018. During the Rafael Correa, Correa-Lenín Moreno, Moreno split within PAIS, she sided with the former, leaving the party and becoming one of the leaders of the Citizen Revolution Movement. Pachakutik Plurinational Unity Movement – New Country
The Pachakutik Plurinational Unity Movement – New Country ( es, Movimiento de Unidad Plurinacional Pachakutik – Nuevo País) is a left wing indigenist party in Ecuador. It was founded primarily as a way to advance the interests of a wide variety of indigenous peoples' organizations throughout Ecuador. History In the context of Ecuador's indigenous movement, Pachakutik emerged in 1995 after civil society mobilizations by large indigenous organizations such as CONAIE and CONFENAIE. Quilapayún () are a folk music group from Chile and among the longest lasting and most influential ambassadors of the ''Nueva Canción Chilena'' movement and genre. 2017 Ecuadorian General Election
General elections were held in Ecuador on 19 February 2017 alongside a referendum on tax havens. Voters elected a new President and National Assembly. Incumbent President Rafael Correa of the PAIS Alliance was not eligible for re-election, having served two terms. In the first round of the presidential elections, PAIS Alliance candidate Lenín Moreno received 39% of the vote. Although he was more than 10% ahead of his nearest rival, Guillermo Lasso of the Creating Opportunities party, Moreno was just short of the 40% threshold required to avoid a run-off. Rosana Alvarado Carrión (born 19 February 1977) is an Ecuadorian feminist politician for the Alianza PAÍS party. In 2017 she was the first vice President of Ecuador's National Assembly. General elections were held in Ecuador on 17 February 2013 to elect the President, the National Assembly, Provincial Assemblies and members of the Andean Parliament. Doris Soliz (born 2 March 1958) is an Ecuador, Ecuadorian politician who has been a Government minister and Executive Secretary of Alianza País. Life Soliz was born in Cuenca, Ecuador, Cuenca in 1958. From 2000 to 2002 she was Vice Mayor of Cuenca. In 2003, during the government of Lucio Gutiérrez, she was Minister of Tourism.
