Jakub Władysław Jarosz (born 10 February 1987) is a Polish professional volleyball player, a former member of the Polish national team, a participant at the Olympic Games London 2012, 2009 European Champion and the 2012 World League winner. At the professional club level, he plays for GKS Katowice. Personal life Jakub Jarosz was born in Nysa, Poland. His grandfather and father Maciej are former volleyball players. PlusLiga
The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 16 teams league from October to April/May. The regular season is followed by playoffs, with the winner earning the Polish Championship ( pl, Mistrzostwo Polski). It is one of the best volleyball leagues in Europe, being highly ranked in the international competitions. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. The receiving team must not let the ball be grounded within their court. 2021–22 PlusLiga
The 2021–22 PlusLiga was the 86th season of the Polish Volleyball Championship, the 69th season of the highest tier domestic division in the Polish volleyball league system since its establishment in 1954, and the 22nd season as a professional league. The league is operated by the Polish Volleyball League SA ( pl, Polska Liga Siatkówki SA). This season was composed of 14 teams. The regular season was played as a round-robin tournament. Each team played a total of 26 matches, half at home and half away. The season started on 1 October 2021 and concluded on 14 May 2022. Jakub Szymański (born 25 March 1998) is a Polish professional volleyball player who plays as an outside hitter for ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Micah Maʻa (born April 16, 1997) is an American volleyball player. He is part of the US national team. At the professional club level, he plays for Halkbank Ankara. Personal life Maa was born in Kāneohe, Hawaii to Pono and Lisa Strand-Maa.
