Gülyazı () is a village in the Uludere District of Şırnak Province in Turkey. The village is populated by Kurds of the Goyan and Sindî tribes and had a population of 3,907 in 2023. Uludere District
Uludere District is a district of the Şırnak Province of Turkey. In 2021, the district had a population of 44,924. The seat of the district is the town of Uludere. Its area is 841 km2. The district was formed in 1957. Population Around 90% of the district is populated by Kurds from the Goyan tribe. The Kaşuran tribe also reside in the district. Şırnak Province
Şırnak Province ( tr, Şırnak ili, ku, Parêzgeha Åžirnexê) is a province of Turkey in the Southeastern Anatolia Region. Şırnak Province was created in 1990, with areas that were formerly part of the Siirt and Mardin Provinces. It borders both Kurdistan Region of Iraq and Syria. The current Governor of the province is Ali Hamza Pehlivan. As of 2013, the province had an estimated population of 475,255 people. Considered part of Turkish Kurdistan, the province has a Kurdish majority. Geography Şırnak Province has some mountainous regions in the west and the south, but the majority of the province consists of plateaus, resulting from the many rivers that cross it. Ferhat Encü
Ferhat Encü (born 5 August 1985) is a Kurdish–Turkish politician and former member of the Turkish Parliament in the Sirnak Province. Encü is well known for a speech that he gave on the floor of the Parliament in Ankara. In his speech, Encü criticized the Turkish government for their violence and mistreatment of the Kurds. After delivering the speech, Encü was arrested and stripped of his parliamentary immunity. Early life Encü was born on August 5, 1985, in the village of Gülyazı in Uludere district of the Sirnak Province in Turkey. He attended and graduated from high school in Turkey and speaks Kurdish at a very high level. In 2009, Encü began to study at the Çukurova University in Adana, Turkey, but took a break from education in order to focus on speaking for the victims of the Roboski airstrike after 2011.
