Güeñes
The council of Güeñes is a municipality in the county of Encartaciones (Biscay, Basque Country, Spain). It is furrowed by the waters of the river Cadagua and forms with its neighbor, the municipality of Zalla, Salcedo Valley. In the North it borders Galdames and k; in the east Alonsotegi (Greater Bilbao);in the west the municipality of Zalla and in the south the municipality of Gordejuela. Its more important centres of population are Güeñes, Sodupe, The Quadra, Zaramillo, Sanchosolo and San Pedro de Goicouría. Rosa María Díez González (born 27 May 1952) is a Spanish politician from Union, Progress and Democracy, UPyD deputy in the Congress of Deputies from 2008 to 2016. Career She was a former Member of the European Parliament for the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE), integrated in the Party of European Socialists. In 2007 she gave up her seat and left the PSOE particularly due to disagreement on what she perceived to be the Socialists' drift on individual liberties. Jacinto De Romarate
Jacinto de Romarate Salamanca (1775 – 1836) was a Spanish sailor, who fought in the British invasions of the Río de la Plata and on the Royalist side during the Argentine War of Independence. Back in Spain, he participated in the First Carlist War. He was born at Güeñes, in Biscay, and joined the Spanish navy. He moved to Puerto Rico first, and then to Montevideo. He helped to the liberation of Buenos Aires during the first British invasions of the Río de la Plata, commanding the ship "''La Vizcaína''". He was wounded during the battle, and promoted afterwards. Romarate fought as well in the defense of Buenos Aires against the ill-fated second invasion. Romarate did not accept the legitimacy of the government Junta established in 1808 by Javier de Elío in Montevideo, and moved to Buenos Aires. Enkarterri (Spanish: ''Las Encartaciones'') is a comarca of the province of Biscay, in the Basque Country, Spain. It is one of the seven ''eskualdeak/comarcas'' or districts that make up the province of Biscay. Its administrative centre is Balmaseda. Historically a larger region (merindad), Enkarterri stretched from the mountains that form its southern border with Cantabria and Castile-Leon in the west and south, to the river Nervion and the Estuary of Bilbao in the east – including the industrial municipalities of Gallarta, Muskiz, Ortuella, Portugalete, Santurtzi, Sestao, Trapagaran and Zierbena. Daniel Ruiz-Bazán Justa (born 28 June 1951), commonly known as Dani, is a Spanish former footballer who played as a striker. During his career he played almost exclusively for Athletic Bilbao, scoring nearly 200 competitive goals (exactly 199) in more than one decade with the first team. He was a penalty kick specialist. Spanish postal codes were introduced on 1 July 1984, when the introduced automated mail sorting. They consist of five numerical digits, where the first two digits, ranging 01 to 52, correspond either to one of the 50 provinces of Spain or to one of the two autonomous cities on the African coast. Two-digit prefixes The first two digits of a Spanish postal code identify the province or autonomous city it belongs to. The numbers were assigned to the 50 provinces of Spain ordered alphabetically at the time of implementation.
