Gwilym (band)
Gwilym () are a Welsh-language pop rock group from Anglesey, Ynys Môn and Caernarfon. The band consists of members Ifan Pritchard, Llyr Jones, Llew Glyn, Rhys Grail, and Carwyn Williams. The group was founded in 2017. History The band consists of members from across north west Wales, including Caernarfon and Anglesey. The members are currently based at universities in London, Birmingham, and Cardiff, but continue to travel together. They released their first music video in July 2018, for their single "Fyny Ac Yn Ôl" '. In 2018 the band were named at the Y Selar Awards (organised by contemporary Welsh language music magazine Y Selar) as Best Breakthrough Act. Meinir Gwilym
Meinir Elin Gwilym (born 31 March 1983) is a Welsh-language pop and folk singer. Raised in Llangristiolus, Anglesey, she released her first EP, "Smôcs, Coffi a Fodca Rhad" (translates into English as "Smokes, Coffee and Cheap Vodka") in 2002. Her website claims that she is amongst the best-selling Welsh language musicians in history. Gwilym worked as a radio presenter on the afternoon request show for Radio Cymru, the BBC's Welsh-language service, alongside Dylan Wyn.
She now works on S4C's nightly magazine show ''Wedi 7'', and presents weekend shows on Heart Cymru in Anglesey and Gwynedd.

Circa Waves are an English indie rock band formed in Liverpool in 2013. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Kieran Shudall, guitarist Joe Falconer, bassist Sam Rourke, and drummer Colin Jones. History Early years (2013) Shudall met both Rourke and Plummer through mutual friends at the annual music festival Liverpool Sound City in 2013, meeting Falconer not long after at the same festival where he worked as a stage manager. Horizons Gorwelion
Horizons ( cy, Gorwelion) is an arts scheme and music festival launched jointly in 2014 by BBC Cymru Wales and the Arts Council of Wales to develop new independent contemporary music artists. It is curated by BBC presenter Bethan Elfyn. The scheme hosts a yearly showcase, but also displays its artists through slots at major domestic and international festivals, as well as securing studio access at the likes of Rockfield and Maida Vale. Editions 2014 In February 2014, the scheme launched and first took part of the National Eisteddfod in Llanelli, promoting artists including musician Chris Jones on the Llwyfan Perfformio. The Arts Council of Wales (ACW; cy, Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru) is a Welsh Government-sponsored body, responsible for funding and developing the arts in Wales.
