Callistus Ndlovu
Callistus Dingiswayo Ndlovu (9 February 1936 – 13 February 2019) was a Zimbabwe, Zimbabwean academic, diplomat, and politician. He joined the Zimbabwe African People's Union (ZAPU) in 1963 as a teacher in Matabeleland, and went on to serve as its representative to the United Nations and North America in the 1970s. After Zimbabwe's independence in 1980, he was a member of the National Assembly of Zimbabwe, House of Assembly from 1980 to 1985 and served as a Senate of Zimbabwe, senator from 1985 to 1990. He left ZAPU and joined the ruling ZANU–PF party in 1984. Gwanda is a town in Zimbabwe. It is the capital of the province of Matabeleland South, one of the ten administrative provinces in the country. It is also the district capital of Gwanda District, one of the seven administrative districts in the province. Matabeleland South is a province in southwestern Zimbabwe. With a population of 683,893 as of the 2012 Zimbabwean census, it is the country's least populous province. After Matabeleland North, it is Zimbabwe's second-least densely populated province.
