Guy Clark
Guy Charles Clark (November 6, 1941 – May 17, 2016) was an American folk and country singer-songwriter and luthier. He released more than 20 albums, and his songs have been recorded by other artists, including Jerry Jeff Walker, Jimmy Buffett, Kathy Mattea, Lyle Lovett, Ricky Skaggs, Steve Wariner, Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Steve Earle, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Chris Stapleton. He won the 2014 Grammy Award for Best Folk Album: ''My Favorite Picture of You''. Career Clark was born in Monahans, Texas. His family moved to Rockport, Texas in 1954. After he graduated from high school in 1960, Guy spent almost a decade living in Houston as part of the folk music revival in that city. His wife Susanna Talley Clark and he eventually settled in Nashville, where he helped create the Americana (music) genre. His songs "L.A. Freeway" and "Desperados Waiting for a Train" helped launch his career and were covered by numerous performers, including Steve Earle and Brian Joe ...

''Guy Clark'' is the third studio album by the Texas singer-songwriter Guy Clark, released in 1978. It was his first on the Warner Bros. label. Critical reception ''Record Collector'' wrote: "More experimental than the straight country of its predecessors, on which cellos and harpsichords dovetailed with more traditional Nashville instrumentation, Clark’s sly wit is in abundance on 'Comfort And Crazy' and 'Shade Of All Greens.'" The song, "Fools for Each Other" was covered by Johnny Rodriguez in 1979, reaching no. 14 on the 1979 in country music, country charts for that year. It was also later included in the albums, ''The Platinum Collection (Guy Clark album), The Platinum Collection'', ''The Essential Guy Clark'', and ''Craftsman (album), Craftsman''. The Clarke, later Clarke-Travers later, Clarke Baronetcy, of Crosses Green in the County of Cork, was a title in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 28 June 1804 for William Clarke. The second Baronet assumed the additional surname of Travers in 1853. The 3rd baronet was succeeded by his cousin Edward Henry St Lawrence Clarke, the son of Rev. John William Clarke, sixth and youngest son of the 1st baronet.
