Guy-Manuel De Homem Christo
Guillaume Emmanuel "Guy-Manuel" de Homem-Christo (; born 8 February 1974) is a French musician, record producer, singer, songwriter, DJ and composer. He is known as one half of the former French house music duo Daft Punk, along with Thomas Bangalter. He has produced several works from his now defunct record label Crydamoure with label co-owner Éric Chedeville. Early life Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo was born on 8 February 1974 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, a Parisian suburb. He is the great-grandson of Portuguese poet , as well as the great-great-grandson of Portuguese military figure Francisco Manuel Homem Cristo, who was forced into exile in France in 1910. He was given a toy guitar and keyboard at around 7 years of age. Sébastien Tellier
Sébastien Tellier (; born 22 February 1975) is a French singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with his song "Divine". He has also produced songs for Dita Von Teese and composed music for the French films '' Narco'' and ''Steak'', among others. Tellier is currently signed to Record Makers, a French independent record label. He sings in English, French and Italian. ''Human After All'' is the third studio album by French electronic music duo Daft Punk, first released on 14 March 2005 through Virgin Records. Unlike their previous studio album ''Discovery'' (2001), whose sound was inspired by disco and garage house and produced over the period of two years, ''Human After All'' was more minimalistic and improvisational with a mixture of heavier guitars and electronics, and was produced in six weeks. ''Human After All'' received mixed reviews from critics, who derided its minimalistic, repetitive nature and its six-week production time. ''Discovery'' is the second studio album by French electronic music duo Daft Punk, released on 12 March 2001 by Virgin Records. It marks a shift from the Chicago house sound prevalent on their first studio record, ''Homework'' (1997), to a house style more heavily inspired by disco, post-disco, garage house, and R&B. Comparing their stylistic approach to their previous album, band member Thomas Bangalter described ''Discovery'' as an exploration of song structures and musical forms whereas ''Homework'' was "raw" electronic music. He also described ''Discovery'' as a reflection of the duo's childhood memories, when they listened to music with a more playful and innocent viewpoint. Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where Dunedin sound, a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's University of Otago, large student population.
