Daft Punk were a French electronic music duo formed in 1993 in Paris by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. Widely regarded as one of the most influential acts in dance music history, they achieved popularity in the late 1990s as part of the French house movement. Together (French Duo)
Together was a French house duo consisting of DJ Falcon and one member of Daft Punk, Thomas Bangalter. The duo released two songs, one each in 2000 and 2002, on Bangalter's own record label, Roulé: "Together" and "So Much Love to Give". Recording history Falcon had first worked with Bangalter when Falcon had sought to release his debut EP ''Hello My Name Is DJ Falcon'' on Bangalter's label Roulé. Falcon reminisced on how their birthdays were only a day apart; Bangalter thus chose the day in between to work on a song together, although they danced more than they produced. The song "Together" was released in 2000 while Together's second track, "So Much Love to Give", was released in 2002. "Music Sounds Better with You" is the only song by the French house trio Stardust, released on 20 July 1998. It is a dance track built from a guitar riff sampled from the 1981 Chaka Khan song "Fate". Stardust comprised the producer Thomas Bangalter, the DJ Alan Braxe and the vocalist Benjamin Diamond. After the single's release, they disbanded, believing this created "a certain magic and mystery". "Music Sounds Better with You" was initially released on Bangalter's label Roulé, followed by a wider release on Virgin Records, accompanied by a music video directed by Michel Gondry. Louise Gabrielle Bobb (born 19 July 1969), known professionally as Gabrielle, is a British singer and songwriter. Bobb was born in Hackney, London. She released her debut single, "Dreams", in 1993, and it topped the UK Singles Chart the same year. Her other singles include " Going Nowhere", "Give Me a Little More Time", " Walk On By", and " If You Ever" — a duet with East 17. Kasseem Daoud Dean (born September 13, 1978), known professionally as Swizz Beatz, is an American record producer, rapper, disc jockey (DJ) and songwriter. Born and raised in New York City, Dean embarked on his musical career as a DJ. Stéphane Quême (), (born January 2, 1973), known as DJ Falcon, is a French DJ, record producer and photographer. He is the brother of Delphine Quême (Quartet) and a cousin of Alan Braxe (Alain Quême). Career In 1999, Falcon released his first EP on Roulé, Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk's music label. Before producing on Roulé, he worked in the A&R department at Virgin.
