Guru Paarvai (S4)
''Guru Paarvai'' is a 1998 Indian Tamil-language thriller film written and directed by Manoj Kumar. The film stars Prakash Raj, Khushbu and Anju Aravind, while Thalaivasal Vijay, Manivannan, Easwari Rao and Ramesh Khanna play the supporting roles. It was released on 14 November 1998. The film was remade in Telugu as ''Veedu Samanyudu Kaadu'' (1999) with Prakash Raj reprising his role, and in Hindi as ''Bhairav'' (2001). Plot The film begins with Guru Moorthi who follows Pooja. Guru Moorthi claims to be Mahendra Boopathi in his past life and he was in love with Alamelu. According to him, Pooja looks like his lover Alamelu and Guru Moorthi finally seduces her. Manoj Kumar (Tamil Director)
Manoj Kumar is an Indian film director, producer and television actor who has directed Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films and Tamil serials. He is the brother-in-law of Bharathiraja. Career After assisting Bharathiraja in various films, he made his directorial debut with ''Mannukkul Vairam'' (1986). He directed several films in 1990s such as, ''Guru Paarvai'' (1998) starring Prakash Raj, won positive reviews. Alex (1959 – 1 May 2011) was an Indian actor and magician. He appeared in over 100 Tamil films after making his debut in Rajinikanth's production ''Valli'' (1993) and won awards for his portrayal of characters in ''Mitta Miraasu'' and ''Kovilpatti Veeralakshmi''. 1997 FEFSI Strike
The Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) is an Indian organisation consisting of technicians from the Tamil film industry in Tamil Nadu, India. A total of 23 unions belonging to different trades in the film and television industry are affiliated to the FEFSI that has around 25,000 members. Strikes June 1997 In June 1997, some members of the FEFSI resorted to a flash strike during the shooting of the film ''Raman Abdullah'', directed by Balu Mahendra, protesting against the director engaging "outsiders". Bharathiraja (born 17 July 1941) is an Indian film director and actor who works mainly in the Tamil film industry. Making his debut in 1977 with ''16 Vayathinile'', he is known for realistic and sensitive portrayals of rural life in his films.
