Guru Harkrishan Public School
Guru Harkrishan Public School, New Delhi, India, is a co-educational, senior secondary school, affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It imparts an education inspired by the life and teachings of the Sikh Gurus. It was among the first in the chain of schools established by the Gurudwara Management Committee in 1965, which today has 12 branches in Delhi, giving education to more than 20,000 students. The School Guru Harkrishan Public School, India Gate, Vasant Vihar and Kalka Ji are the three English medium co-educational senior secondary schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. The schools have provision for all academic streams – Science, Computer Science, Commerce and Humanities. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India. Established in 1929 by a resolution of the government, the Board was an experiment towards inter-state integration and cooperation in the sphere of secondary education. The Sikh gurus ( Punjabi: ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ) are the spiritual masters of Sikhism, who established this religion over the course of about two and a half centuries, beginning in 1469. The year 1469 marks the birth of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism. The India Gate (formerly known as the All India War Memorial) is a war memorial located near the Rajpath on the eastern edge of the "ceremonial axis" of New Delhi, formerly called duty path. Purana Qila
Purana Qila () is one of the oldest forts in Delhi, India. Built by the second Mughal Emperor Humayun and Surid Sultan Sher Shah Suri, it is thought by many to be located on the site of the ancient city of Indraprastha. The Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, commonly known by its former name National Stadium, is a field hockey stadium in New Delhi, India. Patiala House
The Patiala House is the former residence of the Maharaja of Patiala in Delhi. It is situated near India Gate in central Delhi, India. History It was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. The building has a central dome with a "butterfly" layout, similar to other Lutyens’ buildings. Unlike some of the princely residences in Delhi, the Patiala House is not clad in sandstone but painted white.
