Guru Dhanapal
Guru Dhanapal (2 March 1959 – 18 April 2014) was an Indian film director, who worked in Tamil cinema, mostly with actor Sathyaraj. Career Guru Dhanapal made his directorial debut with '' Unna Nenachen Pattu Padichen'' (1992) starring Karthik, Sasikala, and Monisha in leading roles. In the 1990s, the director made a series of film starring Sathyaraj in the lead role, achieving box office success with ''Thai Maaman'' (1994) after which he made '' Maaman Magal'' (1995) and ''Periya Manushan'' (1997). The three films were described as "routine comedy masala ventures" and were filmed in very quick schedules. In between he collaborated with Jayaram twice in ''Periya Idathu Mappillai'' (1997) and ''Raja Magal'', which did not release, as well as directing a portion of ''Suyamvaram'' (1999), which featured an ensemble cast of actors from the Tamil film industry. Coimbatore, also spelt as Koyamputhur (), sometimes shortened as Kovai (), is one of the major metropolitan cities in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. ''Periya Idathu Mappillai'' ( Groom from a rich place) is a 1997 Indian Tamil language comedy film directed by Guru Dhanapal. The film stars Jayaram, Goundamani, Manivannan, Devayani and Mantra. The film, produced by K. Murugan, had musical score by Sirpy and was released on 22 August 1997. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film ''Aniyan Bava Chetan Bava''. Plot Periya Thambi ( Vijayakumar) and Chinna Thambi (Rajan P. Dev) are brothers and owners of a company. Gopalakrishnan (Jayaram) is from a poor family, despite being a graduate, he cannot find a job. To support his family, he becomes the driver of Periya Thambi and Chinna Thambi. ''Aniyan Bava Chetan Bava'' () is a 1995 Indian Malayalam-language comedy-drama film directed by Rajasenan and written by Rafi Mecartin. It stars Jayaram, Narendra Prasad, Rajan P. Suvaluxmi (born 19 August 1977) is a former Indian actress who predominantly appeared in Tamil films. She also appeared in Bengali, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada films. Career As a child, Suvaluxmi was passionate about Indian classical and folk dance forms and performed the art forms across regional shows. Her performance on stage was noticed by film director Satyajit Ray, who cast her as the female lead in the film adaptation of his story ''Uttoran'' (1994).
