Gurli Vibe Jensen
Gurli Vibe Jensen (29 December 1924 – 8 July 2016) was a Danish missionary, priest and writer. She was a teacher in Copenhagen before joining the Danish Sudan United Mission (today ) as a missionary in 1949. Jensen did missionary work in Nigeria from 1950 to 1960 before becoming a liaison secretary for Sudan Mission in 1962 with the task of fomenting interest in non-church circles doing missionary work. She became ordained as a chaplain at the large Church of the Holy Ghost, Copenhagen that is located in the centre of Strøget in 1965 and was made a priest between 1974 and 1995. Jensen was vice-president and member of the European board of the United Bible Societies from 1976 to 1980 and was its world chair and board member between 1980 and 1984. Ane Gurli Linder née Peterson (1865–1947) was a Swedish writer and feminist who was active in Stockholm's social life in the late 19th century when she also encouraged women to become more directly involved in culture. A strong supporter of libraries and reading, she later played an important role in pioneering the promotion and development of children's literature. Biography Born on 1 October 1865 in Tysslinge, Örebro Municipality, Ane Gurli Peterson was the daughter of the landowner Carl Gustaf Peterson and Marie Christine Kavli. In 1879, she moved to Stockholm with her family. Following her father's death when she was 10 years old, she became a full boarder at Hammarstedt School. Gurli Johanna Carolina Åberg (14 September 1843, Stockholm - 2 July 1922, Stockholm), was a Swedish stage actress. She was the half sister of Zelma Hedin. She was a student of the Royal Dramatic Training Academy 1858-60, made her debut at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in 1860 and was contracted as a premier actress there in 1862-68 and 1871–83, and at the Swedish Theatre in 1884-87. She was a student of Signe Hebbe. In 1870, she made a study trip to Paris, but was forced to interrupt in at the outbreak of the Franco-Prussian War. She made tours to Oslo in 1871, 1872 and 1883.
