Gunvor Hall
Gunvor Hall (November 26, 1908 – November 19, 1961) was a Norwegian actress. Hall was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), the daughter of the wholesaler Vegard Hall (1876–1928) and Anna Homble (1882–1910). She performed at the Oslo New Theater from 1929 to 1957. She also worked as a film actress, and she debuted in 1939 in Olav Dalgard's film '' Gryr i Norden'' (Dawn in the North). She appeared in five films from 1939 to 1958. Hall married the actor Tore Foss in 1934. She married a second time in 1942, to the singer, theater manager, and poet Jens Gunderssen. Oslo Nye Teater is a theater located in Oslo, Norway. The theater has its main stage in its own theater house at Rosenkrantz' gate 10. It is one of Norway's most visited theatres. Olav Dalgard
Olav Dalgard (June 19, 1898 – December 25, 1980) was a Norwegian literary and art historian, filmmaker, author and educator. Biography Dalgard was born Olaf Hanssen in Folldal, in Hedmark, Norway. From the age of three, he was raised at Oppdal in Trøndelag. He earned an M.A. degree in literature and art history at the University of Oslo in 1929. He was an advocate of the use of Nynorsk and served as the chairman of the student Nynorsk association. He was also involved in the Mot Dag movement. Dalgard worked as a literary critic for the newspapers ''Dagbladet'' and ''Arbeiderbladet''. Dalgard took over as dramatic advisor and instructor for Det Norske Teateret in 1931 and was involved with the theater for 48 years. ''Gryr i Norden'' (Dawn in the North) is a Norwegian film from 1939 that was directed by Olav Dalgard. ''Gryr i Norden'' is the last film in the "worker trilogy." The other two films are ''Det drønner gjennom dalen'' (1938) and ''Lenkene brytes'' (1938). The film is about the first major women's strike in Norway, the match workers' strike in Kristiania (now Oslo) in 1889. On the morning of October 23, 1889, the match workers at the Bryn and Grønvold match factories in the city went on strike. Tore Foss (21 February 1901 – 6 August 1968) was a Norwegian singer, actor and theatre director. He made his stage début at Chat Noir in 1927. He played at Balkongen from 1927 to 1928, and later worked for the National Theatre, Det Nye Teater, Centralteatret and Folketeatret. He participated in several films. Jens Gunderssen
Jens Gunderssen (19 May 1912 – 11 December 1969) was a Norwegian singer, songwriter, actor, stage producer and theatre director. Early and personal life Gunderssen was born in Drammen, as son of Karl Gunderssen and Ågot Uhl. His father was a prominent local politician, and mayor in Drammen from 1937 to 1950. He married the actress Gunvor Hall in 1942. Career Gunderssen studied law, and finished his cand.jur. degree in 1937 at the University of Oslo. While being a student he played amateur theatre. Under anesthesia, the man reveals that he is in a relationship with the doctor's wife.
