''Dynasty Warriors: Gundam'', originally released in Japan as , is a 2007 video game based on the ''Gundam'' anime series. It was developed by Omega Force and published by Bandai Namco Games. Its gameplay is derived from Koei's ''Dynasty Warriors'' and ''Samurai Warriors'' series. The "Official Mode" of the game is based primarily on the Universal Century timeline, with mecha from ''Mobile Suit Gundam'', ''Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam'', and ''Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ'' appearing in the game, as well as a few units from Mobile Suit Variations '' Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket'' and '' Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory'' appearing as non-playable ally and enemy units. Omega Force
(stylised as ''ω-Force'') is a Japanese video game developer and a division of Koei Tecmo, founded in 1996 by Akihiro Suzuki and Kenichi Ogasawara, and is best known for the ''Dynasty Warriors'' video games. History Omega Force was founded in 1996 as the fourth Business Division of Koei, with the intention of widening the appeal of Koei's portfolio outside of their strategy and simulation games, such as '' Romance of Three Kingdoms'' and ''Nobunaga's Ambition''. The studio was originally going to be named after the letter ''Z'', however this idea never came to fruition, as the letter ''Z'' can have different meanings outside of Japanese culture. Wanting to keep the last letter of the alphabet, they settled for ''Omega'' from the Greek alphabet. Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam
is a 1985 Japanese television anime series, the second installment in the ''Gundam'' franchise, and a sequel to the original ''Mobile Suit Gundam''. The show was created and directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino, with character designs by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, while the series' mechanical designs is split among Kunio Okawara, Mamoru Nagano, and Kazumi Fujita. The series was originally aired on Nagoya Broadcasting Network and its sister ANN stations between 1985 and 1986. The plot is set in the futuristic "Universal Century" timeline and takes place eight years after the events of the original series. ''Romance of the Three Kingdoms'' () is a 14th-century historical novel attributed to Luo Guanzhong. It is set in the turbulent years towards the end of the Han dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period in Chinese history, starting in 184 AD and ending with the reunification of the land in 280 by Western Jin. The novel is based primarily on the ''Records of the Three Kingdoms'' (), written by Chen Shou. The story – part historical and part fictional – romanticises and dramatises the lives of feudal lords and their retainers, who tried to replace the dwindling Han dynasty or restore it. While the novel follows hundreds of characters, the focus is mainly on the three power blocs that emerged from the remnants of the Han dynasty, and would eventually form the three states of Cao Wei, Shu Han, and Eastern Wu. Crossfire
A crossfire (also known as interlocking fire) is a military term for the siting of weapons (often automatic weapons such as assault rifles or sub-machine guns) so that their arcs of fire overlap. This tactic came to prominence in World War I. Siting weapons this way is an example of the application of the defensive principle of ''mutual support''.
