Guillermo Jara
Guillermo Jara (born October 20, 1973, in Sacramento, California) is an American former soccer forward who played four seasons in Major League Soccer. Youth Jara grew up in Sacramento, California, attending Christian Brothers High School where he was a 1991 ''Parade'' magazine high school all-American. Jara also played club soccer with the Tri-Valley Soccer Club. He then played four years of college soccer at University of San Diego, from 1992 to 1995. He was the ''Soccer America'' magazine Freshman of the Year when he finished second in the US in assists and tied for third in the points list. He holds the university records for both goals and assists with 51 and 48 respectively. In his senior year, he was the 1995 West Coast Conference Player of the Year and a third team all-American. Jara is one of 22 college players to be part of the 40-40 club, having both 40 goals and 40 assists in their college career. The USL Championship (USLC) is a professional men's soccer league in the United States that began its inaugural season in 2011. The USL is sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation (U.S. Soccer) as a Division II league since 2017, placing it under Major League Soccer (Division I) in the hierarchy. Stephen "Steve" Trittschuh (born April 24, 1965) is an American soccer coach and former player who most recently served as head coach of USL Championship side Saint Louis FC. As a player, he played as a defender in the Major Indoor Soccer League, American Professional Soccer League and Major League Soccer. He also earned thirty-eight caps with the United States men's national soccer team including one game at the 1990 FIFA World Cup. Player Youth Trittschuh is a native of Granite City, Illinois. The United States U-23 men's national soccer team, also known as the United States men's Olympic soccer team, is a youth soccer team operated under the auspices of U.S. Soccer. Its primary role is qualification into and competition at the quadriennial Olympic Football Tournament, the next of which is to be held during the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
