Guessouma Fofana (born 17 December 1992) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Cypriot First Division club Doxa Katokopias. He represents Mauritania at international level. Club career In August 2018, Fofana joined En Avant de Guingamp on a three-year contract. The transfer fee paid to Amiens was estimated at €1 million. At the end of the summer 2019 transfer window, he moved on loan to Le Mans, newly promoted to Ligue 2. On 17 September 2023, Fofana signed for Cypriot First Division club Daxo Katokopias. International career Fofana was called for the Mauritania national team in November 2021 in an 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification against Zambia and Equatorial Guinea. The 2021–22 Liga I (also known as Casa Liga 1 for sponsorship reasons) is the 104th season of the Liga I, the top professional league for Romanian association football clubs. The season started on 15 July 2021 and is scheduled to end in May 2022. It is the sixth to take place since the play-off/play-out rule has been introduced, and the second since the 2005–06 season to feature 16 teams. CFR Cluj are the four-time defending champions. The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. The Coupe de la Ligue (), known outside France as the French League Cup, was a Single-elimination tournament, knockout cup competition in Football in France, French football organized by the Ligue de Football Professionnel. The tournament was established in 1993 and, unlike the Coupe de France, was only open to professional clubs in France which play in country's French football league system, top three football divisions, though the Championnat National, third is not fully professional. Gueïda Fofana (; born 16 May 1991) is a former French footballer. He was a French youth international and has captained at all levels of youth. In 2010, he captained the France team that won the 2010 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship on home soil. He operated as a defensive midfielder, but could also play as a defender and was known for his physical style of play.
