Guatemala City ( es, Ciudad de Guatemala), known locally as Guatemala or Guate, is the capital and largest city of Guatemala, and the most populous urban area in Central America. The 2005 Challenge Tour was the 17th season of the Challenge Tour, the official development tour to the European Tour. The tour started as the Satellite Tour with its first Order of Merit rankings in 1989 and was officially renamed as the Challenge Tour at the start of the 1990 season. Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Sebastián Fernández (golfer)
Sebastián Fernández (born 8 September 1973) is an Argentine professional golfer. Fernández was born in Buenos Aires. He worked as a caddie in Buenos Aires, before turning professional in 1991. He won the Argentine Tour Order of Merit in 2000. He won three Argentine PGA Championships, in 1991, 2001 and 2005, the first as an 18-year-old, and also came second in 2003. Fernández competed on the Challenge Tour from 2003 to 2007, winning one tournament, the Costa Rica Open in 2003, and finishing second in the Skandia PGA Open (Sweden) in 2003, the Costa Rica Open in 2005 and the Challenge of Ireland in 2006. Marco Ruiz (golfer)
Marco Ruiz (born 2 December 1974) is a Paraguayan professional golfer. Early life and career Ruiz was born in Asunción. He is the godson of celebrated Argentine golfer Vicente Fernández. Ruiz turned professional in 1992. Having played regularly on the Challenge Tour in 2005, Ruiz was successful enough to graduate directly to the full European Tour for 2006. However indifferent performances meant that he dropped down the Challenge Tour again in 2007. Daniel Vancsik (born 7 January 1977) is an Argentine professional golfer. Early life Vancsik was born in Posadas, Argentina. He started playing the game when he was 12 at the Tacuru Club in Posadas-Misiones-Argentina. David Higgins (golfer)
David William Higgins (born 1 December 1972) is an Irish professional golfer. Higgins was born in Cork. He is the son of European Seniors Tour golfer Liam Higgins. He was the country's leading amateur by the time he reached 21. Following match play victories over Pádraig Harrington in the finals of the South of Ireland and the Irish Amateur Close championships he decided to turn professional in 1994. Higgins earned £67,000 in his rookie season on the European Tour in 1996 to finish just inside the top 100 on the Order of Merit. César Omar Monasterio (born 28 November 1963) is an Argentine professional golfer. Monasterio was born in Tucumán. He turned professional in 1990. Gustavo Rojas (golfer)
Gustavo Rojas (born 28 September 1967) is an Argentine professional golfer. Rojas was born in Buenos Aires. He turned professional in 1984. He has had his greatest success in South America on the various Argentine tours and the regional Tour de las Américas. In 2002, he was tied with Ángel Cabrera in the Argentine PGA Championship after 54 holes, but torrential rain meant that the final round was cancelled and the two shared the title.
