Groß Karben Station
Groß Karben station is a station at the 178.4 km mark on the Main–Weser Railway from Kassel via Marburg and Giessen to Frankfurt in the German state of Hesse. It is located approximately one kilometre from Groß Karben, now a district of Karben, and is located on the outskirts of the Karben district of Kloppenheim. Unlike the district of Groß-Karben, it is spelled without a hyphen. The station is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station. History Groß Karben station was opened on 10 May 1850 as part of the section of the Main-Weser Railway from Frankfurt to Friedberg. The entire Main–Weser Railway between Kassel and Frankfurt was completed on 15 May 1852. On 28 January 1907, there was a serious railway accident at Taunusbrunnen immediately north of the station with one dead and two seriously injured. Karben
Karben is a town in the Wetteraukreis, in Hesse, Germany. It is situated on the banks of the river Nidda in the Rhein-Main-Gebiet (Rhine-Main area), approximately north of Frankfurt. Frankfurt City Tunnel
The Frankfurt City Tunnel is standard gauge railway in Frankfurt and the core of the Rhine-Main S-Bahn. The line runs underground for its entire length. Central Station to Konstablerwache The first section was put into operation on 28 May 1978 to Hauptwache. S-Bahn trains began operating on the Taunus Railway (S1), the Main-Lahn Railway (S2), the Limes Railway (S3), the Kronberg Railway (S4), the Homburg Railway (S5) and the Main-Weser Railway (S6) after climbing a ramp under the former postal station in the tunnel and reached the surface about 500 metres east of the central station. Bad Vilbel
Bad Vilbel () is a spa town in Hesse (Hessen), Germany, famous for its many mineral water Spring (hydrology), springs. Bad Vilbel is the largest town in the Wetteraukreis district and part of the Frankfurt Rhein-Main Regional Authority, Frankfurt Rhein-Main urban area with its city center being located 8 km northeast of downtown Frankfurt, Frankfurt am Main at the banks of the river Nidda (river), Nidda. The Rhine-Main S-Bahn system is an integrated rapid transit and commuter train system for the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region, which includes the cities Frankfurt am Main, Wiesbaden, Mainz, Offenbach am Main, Hanau and Darmstadt.
