Group 15 Rugby League
The Group 15 Rugby League, now known as Barwon Darling Rugby League Cup is a rugby league competition in Far North West NSW. The competition has six teams from across Western NSW, with another currently in recess. History Group 15 was a defunct rugby league competition based in the northeastern quarter of the Western Division, New South Wales, Australia. The last premiership was held in 1992 with Lightning Ridge beating Bourk Group 15 clubs currently play in the revamped Barwon Darling Rugby League Cup, which is essentially a reformed Group 15 Premiership, run by the Country Rugby League as part of Region 4 (Western Rams). The Castlereagh League (also known as the Castlereagh Cup) is a rugby league competition in western New South Wales, Australia, run under the auspices of the Country Rugby League. For all intents and purposes the competition is effectively the Group 14 Rugby League senior competition. Brewarrina, New South Wales
Brewarrina (pronounced 'bree-warren-ah'; locally known as "Bre") is a town in north-west New South Wales, Australia on the banks of the Barwon River (New South Wales), Barwon River in Brewarrina Shire. Peter McDonald Premiership
The Peter McDonald Premiership is a New South Wales, Australia rugby league competition. The competition commenced in April 2022. The competition incorporates the former Group 10 Rugby League, Group 10 and Group 11 Rugby League, Group 11 competitions by implementing a first past the post system to award silverware to the clubs who win the respective historic competitions. The top four from each conference will then compete in the Finals with the overall Western Conference winners progressing to the two week state Presidents Cup (Rugby League), NSWRL Presidents Cup finals against the Newcastle Rugby League, Northern (Newcastle), Illawarra Rugby League, Southern (Illawarra) and Ron Massey Cup, Ron Massey Cup (Sydney) conferences to crown the state semi-professional club champions. Group 11 Rugby League
Group 11 is a rugby league competition in the surrounding areas of Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia. The competition is played in four grades, these being First-Grade, Reserve-Grade, Under 19s and Ladies League Tag. Current clubs First grade and under 18s sides of Group 11 Clubs play in the Peter McDonald Premiership alongside Group 10 clubs. From the 2022 season, Group 11 will only officially field reserve and women's league tag competitions, although a Group 11 Premier will still be crowned in First Grade and Under 18s, with this being the best team in the Group 11 Pool of the Peter McDonald Premiership. Canbelego
Canbelego is a village in the Orana region of New South Wales, Australia. It is now virtually a ghost town but was once a much larger settlement associated with the Mount Boppy Gold Mine. At the 2016 census, the population of Canbelego, including its surrounding area, was 39, but the village itself had only four residents in early 2020. In 1905, the population had been around 1,500, with around 300 of these being employees of the mine. Between 1907 and 1917, the population was around 2,000. Walgett, New South Wales
Walgett is a town in northern New South Wales, Australia, and the seat of Walgett Shire. It is near the junctions of the Barwon and Namoi Rivers and the Kamilaroi and Castlereagh Highways. In 2016, Walgett had a population of 2,145. In the 2016 Census, there were 6,107 people in the Walgett Local Government Area. Of these 52.9% were male and 47.1% were female. Collarenebri is a town in north western New South Wales, Australia. The town is in the Walgett Shire Local Government Area and is situated on the Barwon River approximately northeast of Walgett and south west of Mungindi on the Gwydir Highway. The Outback Rugby League Cup is a NSW Rugby League (NSWRL) Group Competition which is based in Broken Hill in the far west of New South Wales and surrounding districts such as Wilcannia and Menindee. The competition folded in 1998 but was revived in 2007.
