Groep T
Group T (Groep T) is a college (formerly ''hogeschool'' (college)) in Leuven, Belgium. The school was formed by a fusion of an existing school for technical (industrial) engineers and the ''Provinciale Normaalschool''. Nowadays the school offers two main branches: * The Engineering College: a Bachelor and Master in industrial sciences. * The Teacher's College: a Bachelor of education. Apart from this, Group T has built a considerable reputation for adult education (''social promotion''). The school has always emphasized its independence from other educational institutions in Belgium. This is the main reason it has not joined the KHL (Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven) when that was formed. A university of applied sciences (UAS), nowadays much less commonly called a polytechnic university or vocational university, is an institution of higher education and sometimes research that provides vocational education and grants academic degrees. World Solar Challenge
The World Solar Challenge (WSC), since 2013 named Bridgestone World Solar Challenge, is an international event for solar powered cars driving 3000 kilometres through the Australian outback. With the exception of a four-year gap between the 2019 and 2023 events, owing to the cancellation of the 2021 event, the World Solar Challenge is typically held every two years. The course is over through the Australian Outback, from Darwin, Northern Territory, to Adelaide, South Australia. The event was created to foster the development solar-powered vehicles.
