Grizedale College
Grizedale College is a college of the University of Lancaster in Lancashire, England. The college is named after the Grizedale Forest area of '' Lancashire North of the Sands''. When it was built it was situated at the southern extremity of the Bailrigg campus. The development of the south west campus has meant that college is now considered to be one of the more centrally located colleges. It is currently the fifth largest in terms of number of students. History Grizedale was one of the last colleges to be built on the Bailrigg campus in 1974. It initially shared accommodation and administration with Pendle College. Grizedale was in the old 'E' Block and Pendle in the old 'J' block. This arrangement continued until Grizedale took over 'J Block' in 1993, and new accommodation to the south of Grizedale, originally intended for Grizedale itself, was completed for Pendle in 1994. George Fox
George Fox (July 1624 – 13 January 1691) was an English Dissenter, who was a founder of the Religious Society of Friends, commonly known as the Quakers or Friends. The son of a Leicestershire weaver, he lived in times of social upheaval and war. He rebelled against the religious and political authorities by proposing an unusual, uncompromising approach to the Christian faith. He travelled throughout Britain as a dissenting preacher, performed hundreds of healings, and was often persecuted by the disapproving authorities. In 1669, he married Margaret Fell, widow of a wealthy supporter, Thomas Fell; she was a leading Friend. His ministry expanded and he made tours of North America and the Low Countries. Liam Gerrard is a British-Irish film, television and theatre actor. He is also an acclaimed voice-over artist and audiobook narrator. Boar
The wild boar (''Sus scrofa''), also known as the wild swine, common wild pig, Eurasian wild pig, or simply wild pig, is a suid native to much of Eurasia and North Africa, and has been introduced to the Americas and Oceania. Graduate College is the largest college at Lancaster University, and only postgraduate college. The college's membership consists of all postgraduate students at the university, including Lancaster graduates who were members of other colleges as undergraduates. History Until its creation in 1989 (although its own purpose-built accommodation on South-West campus was not opened until 1996) each of the other eight colleges also took postgraduates. Sir Michael Edward Palin (; born 5 May 1943) is an English actor, comedian, writer, television presenter, and public speaker. He was a member of the Monty Python comedy group.
