Graduate College, Lancaster
Graduate College is the largest college at Lancaster University, and only postgraduate college. The college's membership consists of all postgraduate students at the university, including Lancaster graduates who were members of other colleges as undergraduates. History Until its creation in 1989 (although its own purpose-built accommodation on South-West campus was not opened until 1996) each of the other eight colleges also took postgraduates. The university had a lot of success in postgraduate work, and it was felt postgraduates should have their own college for social, administrative and accommodation purposes. In 2019, the college revised its logo and colours, as well as adopting its current motto. The new logo, chosen from over 70 submissions, was the combination of two designs by students Igor Sidnev and Joe Rawcliffe, and was launched in August 2019 as Claire Povah's final act as College Principal. Lancaster University (legally The University of Lancaster) is a public university, public research university in Lancaster, Lancashire, Lancaster, Lancashire, England. The university was established in 1964 by royal charter, as one of several plate glass university, new universities created in the 1960s. Sarah Waters
Sarah Ann Waters (born 21 July 1966) is a Welsh novelist. She is best known for her novels set in Victorian society and featuring lesbian protagonists, such as ''Tipping the Velvet'' and '' Fingersmith''. Life and education Early life Sarah Waters was born in Neyland, Pembrokeshire, Wales in 1966. She later moved to Middlesbrough when she was eight years old. Nahed Taher (Arabic:ناهد طاهر) is Saudi businesswoman, founder and chief executive officer of Gulf One Investment Bank, which has its headquarters in Bahrain. Education Taher went to school in Austin, Texas, as her father was completing his studies. Ashni Kumar Singh is a Guyanese politician. He serves as Minister of Finance . He also served in this role from September 2006 to May 2015. Alfred Morris (accountant)
Alfred Cosier Morris (born 12 November 1941) is a British academic. He was the first vice-chancellor of the University of the West of England in Bristol from 1992 to 2005 and before that was director of its predecessor, Bristol Polytechnic, from 1986. Rami Hamdallah
Rami Hamdallah ( ar, رامي الحمد الله, Rāmī al-Ḥamd al-Lāh; born 10 August 1958) is a Palestinian politician and academic. He is the former prime minister of the Palestinian National Authority and president of An-Najah National University in Nablus. On 2 June 2013, the Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas named him to succeed Salam Fayyad as prime minister. His appointment was not recognized by Hamas, who were not consulted in the decision. He is a member of Fatah; however, the BBC states that he is a political independent. On 20 June 2013, Hamdallah tendered his resignation, which Abbas accepted on 23 June.
