Gripen Trollhättan BK
Gripen Trollhättan BK is a bandy club in Trollhättan, Sweden, formed in 1936. The club was named Gripens BK 1936–1988. The men's team played in the Swedish first division the seasons 1973–74, 2001–02, 2002–03 and 2004–05. The 2006–07 season, the club managed to reach the first division again, where the club plays the 2007–08 season. Elitserien (bandy)
The Elitserien (literally, the "Elite League") ( sv, Elitserien i bandy) is since the 2007–08 season the highest bandy league in Sweden. It consists of 14 teams. The season ends with one final game in March. The final was held at Studenternas IP in Uppsala from 1991 until 2012. In 2013 and 2014 the final was played at Friends Arena in Solna, and from 2015 to 2017 it was played at the Tele2 Arena. The final returned to 4,600-capacity Studenternas IP indoor stadium in 2018. Season structure During the regular season the fourteen teams play each other team at home and away - a total of 26 games per team. The top six teams directly qualify for the playoffs for the league championship, while the teams ranked from 7th to 10th enter an additional play-off to decide which teams take the other two championship play-off places. Slättbergshallen
Slättbergshallen is a sports venue for ice sports in Trollhättan, Sweden. It opened on 14 November 2009. It consists of one indoor venue with a bandy field, which holds 3,400 people, but can hold 4,000 at bigger events, and two indoor venues with ice hockey rinks, one with a spectator capacity of around 2,000 and one without. Trollhättan () is the 23rd-largest city in Sweden, the seat of Trollhättan Municipality, Västra Götaland County. It is situated by Göta älv, near the lake Vänern, and has a population of approximately 50,000 in the city proper. It is located 75 km (46 mi) north of Sweden's second-largest city, Gothenburg. The 2013 Bandy World Championship was an edition of the top annual event in international bandy, held between January 23 and February 3, 2013, in Norway and Sweden. 14 countries participated in the 2013 championships: Belarus, Finland, Kazakhstan, Norway, Russia, Sweden (group A), Canada, Estonia, Japan, Hungary, Latvia, the Netherlands, Ukraine and the United States (group B).
