Gretna is a town in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, United States. The population was 1,267 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Danville Metropolitan Statistical Area. History The Gretna Commercial Historic District and Yates Tavern are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
