Gregor Schnitzler
Gregor Schnitzler (born 1964) is a German film director. He directed more than fifteen films since 1991. His best-known films are ''What to Do in Case of Fire?'' and '' The Cloud'' based on the novel by Gudrun Pausewang. ''What to Do in Case of Fire?'' (german: Was tun, wenn's brennt?) is a 2002 German film directed by Gregor Schnitzler. It premiered in November 2001 at the German film festival Kinofest Lünen and was released to theaters in 2002. Part comedy, part action and part drama, the movie is set in contemporary Berlin and stars German action star Til Schweiger. The film received mixed reviews from critics. Plot Set in Berlin, the film opens in 1987 to show a group of radicals battling police, but soon moves to the modern day to present the same radical characters brought together once more by an act they carried out in their anti-establishment heyday. Gudrun Pausewang
Gudrun Pausewang (3 March 1928 – 23 January 2020), less commonly known by her married name, Gudrun Wilcke, was a German author of children's and young adult literature. She was known for books such as ''The Last Children of Schewenborn'' and ''Die Wolke'' (''The Cloud'', translated in the English book title as ''Fall-Out'') which were made part of German school canons. Among her primary topics were work for peace and protection of the environment, namely warning of the alleged dangers of nuclear energy. Her books have been translated into English and received international recognition and awards. Conrad Schnitzler
Conrad "Conny" Schnitzler (17 March 1937 – 4 August 2011) was a prolific German experimental musician associated with West Germany's 1970s krautrock movement. A co-founder of West Berlin's Zodiak Free Arts Lab, he was an early member of Tangerine Dream (1969–1970) and a founder of the band Kluster. He left Kluster in 1971, first working with his group Eruption and then focusing on solo works. Schnitzler participated in several collaborations with other electronic musicians. Experimental music is a general label for any music or music genre that pushes existing boundaries and genre definitions. Tangerine Dream
Tangerine Dream is a German electronic music band founded in 1967 by Edgar Froese. The group has seen many personnel changes over the years, with Froese having been the only constant member until his death in January 2015. The best-known lineup of the group was its mid-1970s trio of Froese, Christopher Franke, and Peter Baumann. In 1979, Johannes Schmoelling replaced Baumann. Since Froese's death in 2015, the group has been under the leadership of Thorsten Quaeschning (Froese's chosen successor and the current longest-serving band member, having joined in 2005). Cluster were a German musical duo consisting of Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius, formed in 1971 and associated with West Germany's krautrock and kosmische Musik, kosmische music scenes.Bush, John. Bella Germania ("Beautiful Germany" in Italian) is a 2019 German 3-part miniseries directed by Gregor Schnitzler, based on Daniel Speck's 2016 book of the same name. The series, consisting of three 90-minute episodes, narrates a German-Italian family story through three generations over 65 years (1954-2019). The series premiered in Germany on ZDF in March 2019, with the episodes shown on 10, 11 and 13 March.
