Gregor Mayrhofer
Gregor Amadeus Mayrhofer (born 1987) is a German conductor, pianist and composer. Life and career Mayrhofer was born in Munich in 1987 and grew up in Wolfratshausen; his parents were both musicians, and he was the second of their three sons. He received early violin instructions from his father, and took lessons in piano, orgam, clarinet and composition from age six. After completing his ''Abitur'' he studied composition and conducting at the Musikhochschule München with Jan Müller-Wieland, then at the Conservatoire de Paris with Frédéric Durieux, at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf with Rüdiger Bohn and Manfred Trojahn, and at the Juilliard School in New York City with Alan Gilbert. Simon Rattle
Sir Simon Denis Rattle (born 19 January 1955) is a British-German conductor. He rose to international prominence during the 1980s and 1990s, while music director of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (1980–1998). Rattle was principal conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic from 2002 to 2018. He has been the music director of the London Symphony Orchestra since September 2017. Among the world's leading conductors, in a 2015 '' Bachtrack'' poll, he was ranked by music critics as one of the world's best living conductors. Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR; "Bavarian Broadcasting") is a public-service radio and television broadcaster, based in Munich, capital city of the Free State of Bavaria in Germany. Patricia Kopatchinskaja (born March 1977) is a Moldovan-Austrian-Swiss violinist. Biography Early life Kopatchinskaja was born in Chișinău, in the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic (now Moldova). She comes from a family of musicians. Her parents were both with the state folk ensemble of Moldova: her mother, Emilia Kopatchinskaja, was a violinist, and her father, Viktor Kopatchinsky, was a cimbalom player. While her parents were on concert tour through the former Eastern bloc, she grew up with her grandparents. She started playing the violin at age 6. In 1989, the family fled to Vienna. Lucerne Festival is one of the leading international festivals in the world of classical music and presents a series of classical music festivals based in Lucerne, Switzerland. Münchner Symphoniker
The Munich Symphony Orchestra (Münchner Symphoniker) is a German orchestra based in Munich but active statewide in Bavaria. It gives subscription concerts at the Herkulessaal and the Prinzregententheater and, to a lesser degree, at the Philharmonie am Gasteig. Kurt Graunke founded the ensemble as the “Graunke Symphony Orchestra” in 1945 and led its first concert on September 25 of that year as a benefit for the Bavarian Red Cross.
