Greg Stafford (game Designer)
Francis Gregory Stafford (February 9, 1948 – October 10, 2018) was an American game designer, publisher, and practitioner of shamanism. Stafford is most famous as the creator of the fantasy world of Glorantha, but he was also a prolific games designer. He was designer of '' Pendragon'', he was co-designer of the '' RuneQuest'', '' Ghostbusters'', ''Prince Valiant'' and ''HeroQuest'' role-playing systems, founder of the role-playing game companies Chaosium and Issaries, designer of the ''White Bear and Red Moon'', ''Nomad Gods'', ''King Arthur's Knights'' and '' Elric'' board games, and co-designer of the ''King of Dragon Pass'' computer game. Orick, California
Orick (formerly, Arekw, Orekw, and Oreq, Yurok: '' 'O'rekw '') is a census-designated place situated on the banks of the Redwood Creek in Humboldt County, California. It is located north of Eureka, at an elevation of 26 feet (8 m). The population was 357 at the 2010 census. Rare minerals orickite and coyoteite were discovered at Coyote Peak near Orick. History O'rekw means "mouth of the river" in Yurok. Orick evolved from the original word. The Yurok people had 74 known villages in the area, O'rekw was one of five where jumping dances were held. At times spelled Or'eQw, it is important to note that there is no "Q" in the living Yurok people's alphabet. Nomad Gods
''Nomad Gods'' is a fantasy wargame designed by Greg Stafford, and published by Chaosium in 1977. A French-language edition was published by Oriflam under license from Chaosium under the name ''Les Dieux Nomades'' in 1994. A free version for online play without the rulebook was released for the Vassal Engine in 2012. Chaosium republished the rulebook in PDF format in 2017. History It is the second part of the ''Dragon Pass'' trilogy that began with ''White Bear and Red Moon''. Although some counters for the planned third game were included with ''Nomad Gods'', the third game of the trilogy was never published. Rules updates and additions were published in Wyrm's Footnotes. The 1977 game comes with a 22" x 26" hex map, 252 counters, and a profusely illustrated 72-page rulebook. Lynn Willis
Lynn Willis (died January 18, 2013) was a wargame and role-playing game designer, best known for his work with Metagaming Concepts, Game Designers' Workshop (GDW), and Chaosium. Biography Willis began by designing science fiction wargames for Metagaming Concepts, starting with ''Godsfire'' in 1976. He designed the MicroGames ''Olympica'' (1978) and ''Holy War'' (1979). Chaosium published '' Lords of the Middle Sea'' (1978), and Willis joined Chaosium in 1978. GDW published '' Bloodtree Rebellion'' (1979). Willis's relationship with Chaosium proved the most enduring; he would turn to role-playing games. He helped founder Greg Stafford trim and refine the ''RuneQuest'' rules into ''Basic Role-Playing'', the rules that would serve as the base for many of Chaosium's RPG lines. Steve Perrin
Stephen Herbert Perrin (January 22, 1946 – August 13, 2021) was an American game designer and technical writer/editor, best known for creating the tabletop role-playing game ''RuneQuest'' for Chaosium. Early life and education Perrin earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from San Francisco State University. In 1966, Perrin was a founding member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). Early career and Chaosium One of his first contributions to the world of RPGs was "The Perrin Conventions" in 1976, a set of alternative rules for ''Dungeons & Dragons'' combat, which led to his work on ''RuneQuest''. Green Ronin Publishing is an American company based in Seattle, Washington. Founded in 2000 by Chris Pramas and Nicole Lindroos, they have published several role-playing game–related products. They won several awards for their games including multiple Origins, ENnie, Pen & Paper, and Inquest Fan Awards. Oakland Coliseum, currently branded as RingCentral Coliseum, is a stadium in Oakland, California.
