Greg Kennedy (hurler)
Greg Kennedy (born 15 April 1976) is an Irish hurler who played as a left corner-back for the Galway senior team. Kennedy joined the team during the 1996 championship and subsequently became a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 2007 championship. During that time he won four consecutive Connacht medals. At club level Kennedy is a one-time Connacht medalist with Loughrea. He has also won one county club championship medal. On 11 May 2019, Kennedy was part of the Dublin back-room team for the 2019 Leinster Senior Hurling Championship match against Kilkenny. Loughrea Hurling is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the town of Loughrea, County Galway, Ireland. The club was founded in 1884 by Dillon Mannion and is almost exclusively concerned with the game of hurling. TJ Reid
Thomas Joseph Reid (born 16 November 1987), known as T. J. Reid, is an Irish hurler who plays for Kilkenny Senior Championship club Ballyhale Shamrocks and at inter-county level with the Kilkenny senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a centre-forward. Reid began his hurling career at club level with Ballyhale Shamrocks. He broke onto the club's senior team as a 16-year-old goalkeeper in 2004 before later being deployed as an outfield player. Reid has since played on six All-Ireland Club Championship-winning teams, including as captain in 2015. At inter-county level, Reid was part of the successful Kilkenny under-21 team that won All-Ireland Championships in 2006 and 2008. He joined the Kilkenny senior team in 2007. Loughrea ( ; ) is a town in County Galway, Ireland. The town lies to the north of a range of wooded hills, the Slieve Aughty Mountains, and the lake from which it takes its name. Brian O'Keeffe
Brian O'Keeffe (born 1977) is an Irish hurler who played as a right corner-forward for the Cork senior team. Born in Blackrock, Cork, O'Keeffe first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Cork minor team, before later joining the under-21 side. He joined the senior panel during the 2001 championship. O'Keeffe went on to play a bit part for Cork over the next few years. At club level O'Keeffe is a three-time championship medallist with Blackrock. Throughout his career Prendergast made just one championship appearance for Cork. He retired form inter-county hurling following the conclusion of the 2002 championship. All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship 1994
The 1994 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 64th staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. The championship began on 7 May 1994 and ended on 4 September 1994. Kilkenny entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Galway in the All-Ireland semi-final. On 4 September 1994, Galway won the championship following a 2-10 to 1-11 defeat of Cork in the All-Ireland final. This was their third championship title overall and their first title since 1992. In team sport, captain is a title given to a member of the team. The title is frequently honorary, but in some cases the captain may have significant responsibility for strategy and teamwork while the game is in progress on the field. In either case, it is a position that indicates honor and respect from one's teammates – recognition as a leader by one's peers. The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Minor Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Electric Ireland GAA Hurling All-Ireland Minor Championship) is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players under the age of 17 in Ireland and has been contested every year - except for a three-year absence during the Emergency - since 1928. The final, currently held on the third Sunday in August, is the culmination of a series of games played during July and August, with the winning team receiving the Irish Press Cup.
