Greg Donnelly
Gregory John Donnelly is an Australian politician, a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council since 2005, representing the Labor Party. Background and early career Donnelly was educated at Mandurah Primary, Christian Brothers College in Fremantle, and University of Western Australia studying industrial relations and economics. He became an official of Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees' Association in 1986, and was promoted to branch secretary. Donnelly is Catholic and has been outspoken about matters associated with his faith. Political career Donnelly was appointed to a casual vacancy caused by the resignation of Treasurer Michael Egan and currently serves on several parliamentary committees. The Liberal Party of Australia (New South Wales Division), commonly known as the New South Wales Liberals, is the state division of the Liberal Party of Australia in New South Wales. The New South Wales Labor Party, officially known as the Australian Labor Party (New South Wales Branch) and commonly referred to simply as NSW Labor, is the New South Wales branch of the Australian Labor Party. The parliamentary leader is elected from and by the members of the party caucus, comprising all party members in the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council. The party factions have a strong influence on the election of the leader. Moira Deeming is an Australian politician. She is a former member of the parliamentary Liberal Party and is currently an Independent Liberal member of the Victorian Legislative Council, representing the Western Metropolitan Region since November 2022.
