Green Valley (club)
Green Valley is a nightclub in Camboriú, Brazil. It was founded in 2007 as a large tent-based party on a jungle-based airfield, but has since grown into "a festival-sized jungle club", and is known for its incorporation of the Brazilian rainforest into its establishment. In 2012 it first made the top three nightclubs in the world as ranked by '' DJ Mag'', coming it at number three. Starting in 2013, it has since been named the #1 nightclub in the world by the magazine five times, including in 2020 - the second most of any nightclub in the magazine ranking's history. The years in which it was ranked number one include 2013, 2015, 2018, 2019, and the aforementioned 2020, when it was named to the Top 3 clubs in the world for the tenth consecutive year. In June 2020, the club was partially destroyed by the 2020 "bomb" cyclone. Balneário Camboriú
Balneário Camboriú () is a coast beach city in the Brazilian southern state of Santa Catarina. The city, with its steep hills dropping down to the sea, is popular amongst South Americans. The main ocean boulevard is called ''Avenida Atlântica'' (Atlantic Avenue). Balneário Camboriú is famous for the cable car which (uniquely in the world) links the city's central beach and the beach of Laranjeiras. The city is located 10 km (6.2 mi) south of the city of Itajaí, 96 km (60 mi) south of the city of Joinville, and 80 km (50 mi) north of the state capital, Florianópolis. The city has a population of 145,796 (2020 census office estimate), which swells to over one million in the summer. In a story published in late February 2012 by Forbes magazine, about the ascent of electronic music in Brazil, Balneário Camboriú was presented as "the capital of e-music" in the country. June 2020 Brazil Bomb Cyclone
The June 2020 bomb cyclone was a hurricane-force extratropical cyclone in South Region, Brazil which impacted the states of Santa Catarina (state), Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul and Paraná (state), Paraná on June 30, 2020. Twelve deaths were confirmed, ten in Santa Catarina, one in Rio Grande do Sul and one in Paraná. In addition to almost 1.9 million consumers without electricity in the three states.
