Team Jayco–AlUla (UCI Code: JAY) is a women's professional cycling team based in Australia which competes in the UCI Women's World Tour and other elite women's events throughout the world. After being sponsored by Orica for five years, the team secured sponsorship from Mitchelton Wineries and Scott Sports, Scott bicycles, and was known as Mitchelton–Scott, from 2018 to 2020. Team history 2014 season 2014 saw a change in leadership at Orica–AIS as the women's team's original directeur sportif David McPartland, Dave McPartland took up a role with the men's team Orica Greenedge, while former Tasmanian Institute of Sport head cycling coach Gene Bates took over McPartland's position. Macey Stewart
Macey Stewart (born 16 January 1996) is an Australian professional racing cyclist. She joined the Orica–AIS team in 2015. Stewart took two gold medals at the 2014 UCI Juniors Track World Championships, in the omnium and as part of the successful Australian team pursuit squad, and went on to win the junior time trial at the 2014 UCI Road World Championships in Ponferrada. Gene Bates
Gene Bates (born 4 July 1981) is an Australian cyclist, last riding for the Drapac Porsche Cycling. Bates is currently the sporting director for UCI Women's team and has been since 2014. Career Bates began his professional career in 2006 with the Italian team LPR Brakes. In 2003 Bates won the Australian Under 23 road championship, and he joined Crédit Agricole for a period as a stagiaire. This did not lead to a professional contract so he served a further period as a stagiaire for Saeco the following year. In the 2006 Tour Down Under he finished 5th overall. He also put in a strong showing at the Tour de Langkawi, finishing second in a stage behind Laurent Mangel. After cycling professionally, worked as assistant team manager for Jayco-AIS in 2011. Bates was appointed as head cycling coach at the end of 2011 until 2013 for the Tasmanian Institute of Sport, and for 2012 and 2013 Bates was endurance coach for Cycling Australia's junior track team. Alexandra Manly
Alexandra Manly (born 28 February 1996) is an Australian professional racing cyclist, who joined the Women's WorldTour team in 2022. She also rode for between 2015 and 2019. Manly qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She was a member of the Women's pursuit team. The team consisting of Ashlee Ankudinoff, Georgia Baker, Annette Edmondson, Alexandra Manly, Maeve Plouffe finished fifth. Melissa Hoskins
Melissa Hoskins (born 24 February 1991) is an Australian former track and road racing cyclist. She topped the general classification in the 2012 Tour of Chongming Island. She was a member of the Australian track cycling team pursuit team that finished in fourth place at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Hoskins announced her retirement from professional cycling on 2 May 2017. Personal Hoskins was born on 24 February 1991 in Kalamunda, Western Australia. She attended Walliston Primary School before going to high school at Carmel Adventist College in Western Australia. Lizzie Williams (born 15 August 1983) is an Australian former racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2014 and 2018 for the Specialized Securitor, , and teams. Career Williams originally quit the sport in 2004 and returned ten years later at the end of 2013, spending the time before her comeback as a teacher whilst playing Australian rules football. In a gap in the 2014 NRS calendar, Williams was a guest rider in the USA with Jono Coulter-managed team Vanderkitten for a couple of months. Coulter suggested she apply for the Amy Gillett Cycling Scholarship, she was awarded the 2014 scholarship to race with the Australian National team in Europe the next month. Chloe McConville (born 1 October 1987) is an Australian professional racing cyclist. She rides for the Orica–AIS team. Before becoming a cyclist, McConville was a cross-country skier, racing for the Australian national team from 2002 to 2009, and competed at the 2006 FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships and the 2007 Winter Universiade.
