Coverage The six local stations broadcast to Salisbury, Dorset, West Sussex, North Hampshire, Berkshire and Aylesbury from central studios in Manchester, Liverpool and London, and a regional studio in Sengensworth, Fareham for opt-outs. 107 JACK fm Berkshire was an Independent Local Radio station in the English town of Reading. The station was based at studios in the Madejski Stadium, home of Reading F.C. and London Irish. The Breeze Basingstoke & North Hampshire was an independent local radio station serving Basingstoke and the surrounding area of North Hampshire. Owned and operated by Bauer as part of the Greatest Hits Radio Network. History Kestrel FM The Basingstoke station launched on 18 May 1998, and is now owned by Celador. The previous owners Milestone launched a free weekly local newspaper, the Basingstoke Observer, in association with Kestrel FM in 2000. In 2010, 107.6 Kestrel FM in Basingstoke was merged with Delta FM in Alton, Bordon, Haslemere and Petersfield. However, initially the old Delta FM frequencies had a separate Breakfast Show, hosted by Dave Trumper. Outside of weekday Breakfast the former Delta Radio frequencies shared with Kestrel FM 107.6. The Breeze (formerly ''Kick FM'' and ''Newbury Sound'') was an independent local radio station serving Newbury and West Berkshire. The station was owned & operated by Bauer Radio and was part of The Breeze network of stations. It broadcasts from studios at Eastgate House in Andover. History Originally known as ''Kick FM'', the station began broadcasting full-time on 29 May 2000, although several RSL broadcasts were run beforehand under the 'Kick FM' brand. Another station, NBC FM, run by Bruno Brookes and Keith Chegwin, made a rival application to the Radio Authority to become a full-time station in West Berkshire. The station has two transmitters serving the area – one on 105.6 MHz at Wash Common Water Tower above Newbury and a smaller fill-in unit on 107.4 MHz at the John o'Gaunt School in Hungerford. The Breeze (formerly ''Andover Sound'') was an independent local radio station in England, serving Andover and northwest Hampshire, and parts of east Wiltshire from studios at Eastgate House in Andover. Greatest Hits Radio West Sussex is an Independent Local radio station owned and operated by Bauer as part of the Greatest Hits Radio Network. It broadcasts to West Sussex. Greatest Hits Radio Bucks, Beds and Herts (formerly Mix 96) is a classic hits radio station, owned and operated by Bauer. It is part of the Greatest Hits Radio network. Dorchester ( ) is the county town of Dorset, England. It is situated between Poole and Bridport on the A35 trunk route. Wessex FM was a local radio station for the Weymouth, Dorchester and Bridport areas of Dorset, originating from studios in Dorchester. It broadcast on 97.2 MHz in Weymouth and Dorchester (from the Bincombe Hill transmitter), and on 96.0 MHz in Bridport (from the Bridport transmitter). Spire FM
Spire FM was a UK radio station based in Salisbury, Wiltshire. It was awarded the licence to broadcast to Salisbury and the surrounding areas by the Radio Authority, now Ofcom, in 1991. The station took its name from the spire of Salisbury Cathedral. After several changes of ownership, it was rolled up into Greatest Hits Radio in September 2020, ceasing local programming.
