"Greatest Hits" is the 21st episode of the third season of ''Lost'' and 70th episode of the series. It was written by co-executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz and directed by supervising producer Stephen Williams. The episode first aired on May 16, 2007, on ABC in the United States and on CTV in Canada. "Greatest Hits" was viewed by 12 million Americans and was well received by critics. ''Lost'''s editors received a Golden Reel Award nomination. The episode takes place on December 22, 2004, 92 days after the crash of Oceanic Airlines Flight 815. A group of survivors prepare for an upcoming raid on their camp by the " Others", while the rest prepare to contact a nearby freighter. ''Lost'' is an American science fiction drama television series created by Jeffrey Lieber, J. J. Abrams, and Damon Lindelof that aired on ABC from September 22, 2004, to May 23, 2010, over six seasons, comprising a total of 121 episodes. Zachary David Shada (born November 25, 1992) is an American actor, producer and director. Life and career Shada was born in Boise, Idaho. His brothers are actors Josh and Jeremy Shada. Oceanic Airlines, and less frequently, Oceanic Airways, is the name of a fictional airline used in several films, television programs, and comic books—typically works that feature plane crashes and other aviation disasters, with which a real airline would prefer not to be associated. Motion Picture Sound Editors (M.P.S.E.) is an American honorary society of motion picture sound editors founded in 1953.
