Graziano Origa
Graziano Origa is an Italian artist. In 1979, he founded the magazine '' Punk Artist''. In 1972, Graziano began to work in comics at StudiOriga in Milan. He draws black and white pen/ink portraits: Presley, Divine, Krisma, Eva Robin's, Armani, Fiorucci, Cadinot, Sid Vicious, Pasolini, Warhol. From 1977 to 1979 he directed the monthly magazine of underground music ''Gong''. In the 1980s he lives in New York City, making illustrations for the Italian daily newspaper ''Progresso Italoamericano''. Also for the chic-gay monthly ''Advocate'', ''Torso'', ''Blueboy'' and the weekly ''Screw''. Origa in Milan became friends with the painter Fernando Carcupino, with him discuss a lot about erotica arts in the tavern "Risotteria". Photo comics are a form of sequential storytelling that uses photographs rather than illustrations for the images, along with the usual comics conventions of narrative text and word balloons containing dialogue. They are sometimes referred to in English as fumetti, photonovels, photoromances, and similar terms. The photographs may be of real people in staged scenes, or posed dolls and other toys on sets. Although far less common than illustrated comics, photo comics have filled certain niches in various places and times. For example, they have been used to adapt popular film and television works into print, tell original melodramas, and provide medical education. Fernando Carcupino (23 July 1922 – 22 March 2003) was an Italian painter, illustrator and comics artist. He was most widely known for his female nudes, but he also painted landscapes, still lifes, historical subjects, and portraits of mothers and their children. In his early career he worked as a comics artist for '' Asso di Picche''. Life and career Carcupino was born in Naples to a Milanese family who were temporarily working there. History Progresso emerged from the merging of two prominent Italian importing companies in New Orleans, Louisiana.
