Graz Giants
The Graz Giants are an American football team in Graz, Austria founded in 1981. The Giants play in the Austrian Football League at ASKÖ Stadium in the Eggenberg district of Graz. History Inspired by a March 1981 broadcast of the first Austrian football team, the Vienna Ramblocks, Stefan Herdey decided to found an American football team. After an advertisement was placed in a local newspaper, a dozen potential players attended the first meeting and founded the Graz Football Team. That team would be renamed the Graz Giants. The Giants took part in the first game between two Austrian teams, in which they lost 44–12 to the Ramblocks. With the dissolution of the Ramblocks, the Graz Giants are the oldest existing American football team in Austria. The Giants were the first known team from Europe to win a match against a US college team. Eidsvoll 1814s
The Eidsvoll 1814s are an American football team based in Eidsvoll, Norway. They are currently members of the Norway American Football Federation (NoAFF). Their name is taken from the signing of the Constitution of Norway at Eidsvoll in 1814. History Eidsvoll 1814s were founded in 1995 by Kenneth Andersen, Jarle Østhagen and Bård Aune and started play the following year as a Division II team. Going undefeated in league play during their first two seasons, the 1814s won back-to-back Division II championships. In 1998, they joined Division I where they lost in double-overtime to the Oslo Vikings in their first playoff appearance at that level. They won their first division I league championship in 2001. Eurobowl
The Eurobowl was the championship final game of a tournament style playoff to determine the champion of all of the American football leagues in Europe. The tournament featured the top or champion clubs from each countries top league that was called the European Football League (EFL). The first Eurobowl final was played in 1986 in Amsterdam. After 2014, it was known as the BIG6 European Football League (BIG6). Before 2014, the Eurobowl was the final championship game of the European Football League. The last BIG6 was played in 2018. The last Eurobowl was played on 8 June 2019 without any playoff league competition prior to the game. The Potsdam Royals beat the Amsterdam Crusaders 62–12. The European Football League (EFL) established in 1986, was a tournament for the best European American football teams affiliated to IFAF (International Federation of American Football - Europe), which replaced the European Federation of American Football (EFAF) in 2014. Until 2013, the final game of the EFL was the Eurobowl, which has been held annually since 1986. In 2014, the EFL was replaced as Europe's top-tier club competition by the new BIG6 European Football League and the EFL Bowl was introduced as the new final game of the EFL. The Badalona Dracs (, "Badalona Dragons") are a gridiron football team based in Badalona, Catalonia. History Three American football enthusiasts got together in Badalona on a December 1987's evening to found the team. They were Pere Moliner, first president of the team, Ramón Ventura and Italian Alfonso Genchi. The team was founded as Badalona Drags. Just a few months later, the team was established and the first ever American football game played in Spain was set for March 19th, 1988. Badalona Dracs played Palermo Cardinals (Italy), with a score of 18–12 for the Italians.
