Anomaloninae
Anomaloninae is a subfamily of parasitoid wasps in the family Ichneumonidae. Several species provide beneficial services to humans by attacking forest or orchard pests. Description and distribution Species of Anomaloninae are slender, range in size from small to large, and are usually black or brownish in color. Yellow markings on the face and legs are common. One of the most distinguishing characteristics of this subfamily is the highly reticulated propodeum. Species are found worldwide. Biology and behavior Anomalonines are koinobiont endoparasitoids of Lepidoptera or Coleoptera. Eggs are laid by females into the larval host, but the host is allowed to continue development to the pupal stage. Adult wasps emerge from the host pupa. They are found in nearly all forested habitats, and unlike most other groups of ichneumonids, are also fairly common in dry habitats. Anomalonines fly slowly in a characteristic pose, with the metasoma elevated, antennae outstretched, and leg ...

Therion Circumflexum
''Therion circumflexum'' is a species of ichneumon wasp in the family Ichneumonidae. Distribution This species is widespread in large parts of the Palearctic realm (Europe, Asia, North Africa) and also occurs in the Nearctic realm (North America). Description ''Therion circumflexum'' can reach a body length of approximately . The head and thorax of these relatively large parasitic wasps are predominantly black. The scutellum is yellow. The abdomen is predominantly orange. Usually the rear end and the top of the third tergites are black. The female has a short spike. The legs are yellow-orange. The posterior femur and posterior tibia have a dark brown apical end. The wings are orange-hyaline. In the clypeus the median apicali tooth is missing and the hind tarsal claws are evenly curved.D & JP BalmerTherion circumflexum (L. 1758) at Flickr/ref> Biology The adult parasitoid wasps of this species fly from mid-June to September. Heteropelma
''Heteropelma'' is a genus of parasitoid wasps belonging to the family Ichneumonidae. Species in this genus are around 25 mm in length. Reproduction ''Heteropelma'' adults lay their eggs inside Lepidopteran larvae (i.e. caterpillars) by piercing them with their ovipositor. ''Heteropelma'' eggs consist of an equatorial disc and a caudal stalk, making them look a bit like the cartoon oil lamp from Aladdin Aladdin ( ; ar, علاء الدين, ', , ATU 561, ‘Aladdin') is a Middle-Eastern folk tale. It's thought that the shape is adapted to attach the egg to the inside of the caterpillar's integument. Once the eggs hatch, the larvae consume the caterpillar from the inside. They emerge from the deceased caterpillar as adults. Species * '' Heteropelma amictum'' * '' Heteropelma fulvitarse'' * '' Heteropelma megarthrum'' ...
