Grant Sampson (born 26 January 1982) is an South African professional darts player who currently plays in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and other national events. He qualified for the 2023 PDC World Darts Championship by winning the African Qualifier to make his first appearance at the Worlds. Career In October 2022, Sampson defeated Laezeltrich Wentzel to win the African Qualifier (after earlier beating heavy favourite Devon Petersen) and qualify for the 2023 PDC World Darts Championship, his debut year at the competition. 2023 PDC World Darts Championship
The 2022/23 PDC World Darts Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the 2022/23 Cazoo World Darts Championship) is the upcoming 30th World Championship organised by the Professional Darts Corporation since it separated from the British Darts Organisation. The event will take place at the Alexandra Palace in London from 15 December 2022–3 January 2023. is the defending champion, after defeating 7–5 in the 2022 final. Format All matches will be played as single in, double out; requiring the players to score 501 points to win a leg, finishing on either a double or the bullseye. Devon Petersen (born 4 June 1986) is a South African professional darts player and a pundit for Sky Sports. He has qualified for the PDC World Championship on seven occasions with his best result coming in 2014, 2019 and 2021 when he reached the last 16. Kim Huybrechts (born 16 November 1985) is a Belgian professional darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He made the final of a major TV event, the 2012 Players Championship Finals, losing to Phil Taylor 13-6, as well as making the final of the 2013 PDC World Cup of Darts with his brother Ronny. The PDC World Darts Championship, known for sponsorship purposes as the Cazoo World Darts Championship, organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), is a World Professional Darts Championship held annually in the sport of darts.
