Club Bàsquet Granollers is a professional basketball team based in Granollers, Catalonia, Spain, which currently plays in Copa Catalunya. History It was one of the historic teams of Liga Nacional and Liga ACB, where he played from 1977 to 1993, when it resigned to their place due to financial problems. The Primera División de Baloncesto is the fifth level in the Spanish basketball league system. Current format The Primera División works similar to the Tercera División of Spanish football. 1988–89 ACB Season
The 1988–89 ACB season was the 6th season of the Liga ACB, after changing its name. The number of teams increased from 16 to 24. The format also changed. The 24 teams were divided into two groups of 12. After playing a league, 24 teams were divided into three groups of eight teams each. The first six of the white group and the champions of the red and blue groups played for the title. FC Barcelona won their third ACB title, and their 6th overall. It was their third ACB title in a row. The 1986–87 ACB season was the 4th season of the Liga ACB, ACB Primera División, the top Spanish professional basketball league. It started on 13 September 1986 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 25 April 1987 with the finals. FC Barcelona Bàsquet, FC Barcelona won their first ACB title, and their fourth List of Spanish basketball champions, Spanish title. The Copa Príncipe de Asturias ACB (''ACB Prince of Asturias Cup'') was a basketball tournament played with teams of Liga ACB between 1986 and 1991. The 1985 tournament was called Copa Asociación (Association Cup) or Torneo de la ACB (ACB Tournament). Since the next season to its end, it was called Copa Príncipe de Asturias. The 1983–84 ACB season was the inaugural season of the ACB Primera División, the top Spanish professional basketball league. It started on 10 September 1983 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 13 April 1984 with the finals. The league was made up of the clubs that broke away from Spanish Basketball Federation at the end of the 1982–83 season with the aim to professionalize the league. The new league introduced the best-of-three playoffs at the end of the regular season just like in the Italian league.
